Like seriously it's one thing to mature Amaya but now they're turning her into a completely different being. They're changing the essence of the story- Amaya making it in Benaras despite being an oddball to its culture, Benaras accepting Amaya despite of her culture. Benaras being symbolic of mantu and vice versa. They make it seem like being brought up rich in a modern Mumbai and Paris is some damned crime and Amaya needs to adopt the village "cool" to prove that she's above her tuchya sheheri upbringing. I understand that Benaras is a small city but it's not exactly a remote village where you'd need to spread gobar on your floor. I'm floored by the stupid things cvs choose to highlight to "prove" ManYa love. Rachi is the only sister who doesn't seem to drop on her knees to fit into the fodder of a gaon ki gori. I don't even understand this stuff. Do people in cities not get married with proper rituals or is that exclusive privilege reserved for village folks? I've never heard of any marital ceremony or pooja involving cow crap. They're literally making up crap to highlight how flexible Amaya is to the point that it's completely unrealistic. I sound like such a feminist but how many of you would want a guy who respects you for your ability to handle cow crap with ease?
hey hey! I never looked at it from the perspective you so eloquently put and it does sound ridiculous. Benaras is not a remote village where people need to do this. Makers are going the true saas-bahu-drama way where they need to show how much the boys side can stoop to make the marriage not happen.
Amaya was definitely different. She had that spunk. The girl isn't even going to work anymore! that is the most irritating part!!!!!!!!!!!!
