Voting Formula of Indian People

... ... does not matter whether it is sa-re-ga-ma, or Indian Idol or, VOI... the main criteria of voting a singer should be based on his/her singing quality. But, Indian people are those who consider this as the last option. What is the formula of voting and elimination of singers then? Well... here it is (just correct me if you can prove anything that is said here is wrong):

[Considering the selection from the Top 5-8 contenders. The formula usually starts from here]

Formula #1:
If the contestant is from a very poor family background who lives from hand-to-mouth, who is struggling in his/her life to earn for a living, who probably be an orphan or, who has lost at least one parent… just VOTE for him/her. Does not matter how bad/good she/he sings. Singing here is not considered as the primary criteria of selection.

Formula #2:
If the contestant is a female and she is within the top 5-8 contenders, keep her in the elimination pool. She has got enough vote to reach up to this position. She has entertained us a lot. But enough is enough. Sorry baby … now its time to go. So, please DO NOT VOTE for her. Does not matter how well she sings.

Formula #3:
If the contender is from another country (i.e. he/she can be from Pakistan, from Dubai, but not from India), then keep him/her in the elimination pool. He/She is going to be the next to be eliminated. This is an Indian program, so we are not going to allow an outsider to get away with the award…. Isn't it? So … DO NOT VOTE for him/her. Does not matter how good he/she sings.

Formula #4:
If the mentor of a contestant is aggressive in nature, DO NOT vote for the contestant. Punish the mentor by punishing his student. Does not matter how well he/she sings.

Formula #5:
If a contestant is an "excellent human being" (!!!), just VOTE for him. These excellent criterions include:
- nice smile
- very good communication skill
- well behavior/attitude
... just VOTE for him/her, does not matter how worse she/he sings.


So .. these are the basic five formulas. Just waiting for your valuable opinions.

So what about the international votes! Aren't they just like that. I am sure Paki's are not voting for any indian contestant at least most indians do vote for Amanat. Don't you guys get tired of accusing indian people? Just see how great they are to change the final from two contestents to three.

And plz don't say anything baseless about Raja. He is a great singer. How could you completely ignore his singing capability? He deserves to be in the final as much as the other two contestants. People are not fool unlike what you think. They vote for Raja for his splendid beautiful singing. Now if he is a good person as well then good for him and his fans. I feel really bad when reading biased opinions like yours. Just because you are fan of another contestant doesn't mean you have to pull down Raja just say you don't like Raja. Please if you can't be a person like Raja, who spreads love then don't spread hatred. Raja is an excellent role model for a lot of us to actually understand that being successful doesn't mean to be arrogant.

Nobody is punishing Aneek. He has topped many times and is the topper this week so again your claim is baseless. HR's behavior most of the time is unbearable and people have the right to assert their feelings.

If you mean Poonam by the poor contestant, she deserved all the votes she got. She is a very good singer and could even be in the finals. People weren't just voting for her b/c she was poor. Hell no! Now only three people could be in the final so whoever was successful in making more fans got ahead. I am sure she will do very good and we all wish her best of luck.

About the female contestant who was voted out inspite of being a good singer, I think you mean Sumedha. Now this is a good proof for you to understand Indian people are not just voting for Indians else Sumedha would have been not out. Now why she was voted out? very simple there will be just one winner.

The country at large will vote for whomsoever they like, it is irrelevant where they come from because if you like them you just like them. In large places like Mumbai who cares if a person is an Indian or from Pakistan or Afghanistan or USA. Votes are based not so much on singing all the time, but looks and likeability all play a part. However, for a contestant who is a native of a small town or community the people of the same town will feel obliged to vote for him.

However, as far as from another nation is concerned, then people from other countries have already won other competitions in india- GILC and some others too. What do you want, if any contestant is from any other country, then he should be handed the trophy directly because only that will prove our unbiased credentials.

at least we have a democratic way of choosing a winner, however biased you may accuse it to be ..... we dont have some dictator calling up and telling who should win !!!! 😆 also people who have lived a great part of their country's existance under dictatorship wud never understand what democracy is !!!

Come on friend....no body said that Indians didnt vote for amanat and how can u say that Pakies dont vote for Aneek or raja?.....Yeah Indians do vote for Amanat but less than RAJA and Aneek...obviously Nationalism and same goes for AMANAT....so take it litely😛

as ID had rightly said to Amanat, that he has reached where he has reached in this contest ONLY and ONLY becos of the support of the hindustan ki janta ..... the percentage of votes from pakistan wud be negligible.

I agree with all ur points except the first one and i know the truth as i hail from pakistan, since the start of the contest very few ppl here have voted a contestant based on his region. I myself from peshawar, my many friends from lahore, karachi and england and my cousins in canada they all have voted for the best contestant and not for junaid, musarrat, sikander or amant just becoz they r from pakisatn. I have voted sooo many time for raja, poonam and aneek.

So plz dont say anything until u r cleared or u have some solid proof...
