The beautiful and versatile actress Paridhi Sharma is one lucky gal. For out here once your popular daily show ends, then many actors simply disappear. But Paridhi has managed to get one more assignment even before her hit show Zee TV Jodha Akbar wrapped up. She now anchors the new series of Colors' paranormal show Code Red Talaash. "I wanted to take a break but then this short duration offer came along and I said why not as it was different from what I have done till now. I am thoroughly enjoying the process but being a one take game it is quote tough i.e. a single fumble or mistake and you will have to repeat the entire dialogue again from scratch. Earlier this show was being hosted by Anita Hassanandani and Shaleen Malhotra, my stint will focus more on exorcism."
Paridhi does not have a personal take on super natural, "based on science and Hindu religion, I believe that soul does exist and it never dies, just changing form. Having said that I am glad that I have never encountered a troubled soul haunting me."
Ask if her if it right to propagate superstition on a widely watched medium like TV? she says, "firstly we show case true life incidents (Mehendipur) which are supported by due research. And secondly people do require some sort of entertainment. And last but not the least why blame TV for social ills? the real stuff happening in society is much more dangerous and not worth even talking about."
Paridhi informs us she has not yet been able to come out of the Jodha Akbar zone, "even yesterday I was shooting in the Mughal empresses attire for fresh promos are being cut, for the re-launch of this Balaji Telefilms show now afresh on Zee Anmol. Looking ahead I want to try all kind of genres and formats, I don't want to restrict myself as an actor."
In closing Pardhi feels that she grown a lot as actor since her Ruk Jana Nahi days. "I have gained a lot of confidence, and maturity. I have also better mastered the skills of facing the camera and other technical nuances."
