I know Abeer didn't mean to insult her-- but to Meher what Abeer said would definitely feel like an insult. The problem is both Meher and Abeer don't understand each other.Don't you think Abeer should also know her a little bit too? They already had a fight about him blaming her for the breakup and she told him about how hurt she was that he left her in the middle of the night. So once again to blame the break up on her and ask her if she made a mistake but then say that he is sure he didn't make a mistake... would tick her off. Especially after all the accusations about being a gold digger and opportunist etc. This whole game he is playing is because he wants Meher to accept her feelings without first admitting his. He wants her to be vulnerable to him without being equally vulnerable back. He wants her to say she needs him but where is he telling her he needs her? All that kind of behaviour would do is push someone like Meher, who has her pride, is make absolutely clear that from her perspective she hasn't made a mistake.
