IKRS~ 20th August, Episode 10 My Take

Good intent goads on Viplav to the seek pardon from Dhani for his foolish jest that turns violent and very ugly. Little does he know that his fairly noble and serious act of tendering his apology will turn into an amusing interlude of misunderstandings, cross wired comedy of errors! Life is funny indeed ,blows careless incidents we think nothing of out of proportion! and well thought out plans, into incidents of a pie in the face!. Judging by what happens, offering an apology to Dhani whom he has wronged is no easy task . His act is interrupted by hearing cutting remarks upon Dhani from the public, regarding the incident of which he was solely responsible.. one has to face the consequence of one's misdeed, however protected one is...it catches up,and then the conscience does prick...as Viplav learns. Far from forgiveness, instead he gets a look of accusation from Dhani and a plea from Sawarna, to leave lest trouble starts . Viplav realizes , he has earned himself the reputation of being a trouble shooter!! More hurdles to follow in his act of nobility as his next attempt at showing verbal remorse is also interrupted by something totally unrelated , his arrival to retrieve his watch!.. here again he is thrown off track in the apology process. This watch obviously stands as a sign for time.. and in an odd fashion, the time for saying sorry to Dhani perhaps is not quite right for Viplav . However Viplav perseveres, and he ensure that he will use this time of a brief encounter with Dhani purposefully! His knock on the door of the widows shelter , creates pandemonium. In the ashram ,when Dhani discloses its the raksas ... the widows sport a very negative view about the power he can wield as he holds the potential to disrupt their lives .However it's interesting to see how Sawarna drops the reference about the watch again! this reference to the watch ,his watch , bounces back and forth in the scene, as the watch can be seen as time that relates to him, that every time he shows up around Dhani ,it spells of troubled times!. However now it's bad times for Dhani and the widows, as this watch in question disappears! This could deface the integrity of the widows. Which could well mean facing more dire consequences courtesy of the boy standing outside! Inside it's interrogation time and finally under the watchful eye of badi maa ,it's confession time by the culprits! While outside the ashram Viplav waits as time ticks away..only to be faced by badi maa, who begins by adopting a benign a tone with Viplav.. and appeals to him for patience.. his watch will be returned.. this whole section of the watch.. where one covers up ,hides, conceals the truth, yet somehow .. does a bad job as by rule the widows aspire not to lie through their teeth! But in bits and bobs the truth blurts out! much to Viplav's puzzlement! The scene is portrayed brilliantly by the otherwise staid , humble and pious widows.. Viplav's totally lost and muddled up expression to comprehend the watch saga makes the scene even more hilarious to watch... he has a totally "will someone tell me what's going on??? expression He is here before her house not for some ruddy watch! while within himself he wonders forget the watch! just want the time to apologize to her.. Incidentally outside Dhani's ashram there is the chalk image of Shiva ji.. Shiva with the third eye.. what can the gods predict about the future of this churlish ,roguish man who comes seeking for pardon? Is Viplav to learn that offering pardon is a challenging task..as when one has to wait.. for forgiveness to be granted. Dhani closes the door in his face.. denies him the chance to ask for forgivness..very intresting the way he turns his hand with one finger pointing up wards to the gods ,almost saying ,just watch how she thwarts my efforts of pleasing you by saying sorry.. to her.. she won't accept it..

Tripurari waits for some more explosive acts from Viplav so he can report to Dashrant causing him maximum damage..

Moving scene between Dhani as the strong woman who literally forces Viplav down her doorstep into retreat mode! as she descends the steps.. it's a lovely moment when they both stand before each other and simultaneously say the same word in half a sentence .. sorry to each other! she for losing face before him for misplacing his watch, and he for the trouble he has caused her .. the play on the watch continues as badi maa wishes to stay in Viplav's good books and as such offers him a small compensation for the valuable loss of his watch..in reality Viplav somehow by his bafflement, lack of resistance and further use of force has won over some trust and goodwill of the widows of the ashram.. bar one's .. Dhani..

Tripurari winds up Dashrath as he grasses up Viplav!

Badi maa..who stands for all fairness in manner, upholds punishment for wrong doing to deter repetition of such deeds like stealing Viplav's watch and then selling it at a loss price, where as, it's actual price was worth more.. Rajlaximi and her accomplice widow are caught out by their own web of corruption and greed.. that swiftly catches up with them.. and they are put to the grind.. where in all fairness , everyone around is warned not to take out the pain out their punishment ! for this then was the due for their misdeed!

Viplav tells his dadi ji the truth about his where abouts, and yet again, reiterates the reason of his good sense to apologise to the widows of the ashram.. his truth earns him dada ji's duped favour. Dashrant pretentiously and guilefully shows approval of his grand son's humble deed..Along side Dashrant also connives, how best he can dupe his grand son into believing that so impressed is he by Viplav's act ,that he himself would go to the ashram in person and reinforce his grand son's gesture by apologising to the widows too! of course he has his own agenda.. he uses Viplav's good deed to further punish the widows..also to help identify the real culprit behind distancing Viplav from him..

Overall this was an episode shown to provide some light comic relief! Since looting and setting alight the ashram was not a pretty sight. The next episode, shows widows problems extend.i wonder if they will think it's due to the missing watch.. well only time will tell!
