SMS Vs Money!

I have been following Indian Idol sincerely from last three seasons.
These are my obervations! i might be wrong... but if you all think carefully...you might find some truth in it!

During II3 finale, Hussain declared that II recieved almost 7 crores votes in just one week.
If you think in terms of money, II producers must have made minimum 40 crores of rupees!
Just imagine... 40 crores in just one week!

So do you ppl think that II ppl really care about any real singing talent!

i think they look at the candidates as vote banks!

If u observe closely...if a contestant (talking about male contestants coz in Sony's opinion girls anyway dont get many votes...very sad, but true!) is from a city... he will definitely get voted out in 1st few rounds.

Ppl who live in metros are busy with their lives. they usually dont find much free time! so, even if they like a contestant who is from their own city, they might give him max 10 or 15 votes and forget ! They just cant keep voting that person in thousands n thousands like the way how Bikanir/Darjeeling n Nepal voted .

After experiencing how many votes a small town fella can generate... II ppl definitely want some1 from smaller towns so that they can generate regionalism...which results in crores of votes!

If prashant is not from Nepal, not from police community... n if he is from Delhi/Bby... would he get so many votes? nope! he wouldnt have.

So, its all business for Sony TV, n Cell network providers... and junta is unsuspecting emotional lot.

While we are fighting/discussing/arguing about who has better talent... these II producers, n Cell providers are so busy going to banks...n making money!

When Abhijeet sawant won, i thot looks mattered. When sandeep won i still thot looks mattered.
But when Prashant won... i realized, its not looks... its the vote bank which is mattered.

Now experiencing this kind of money... II will definitely see to it that a contestant from a small town with greater vote bank to be in the finals... its for their own good! Who will sacrifice so much money?

And i dont think Sony really helps these contestants to build their careers!

I totally agree with your comments. They made 40 crores in one week and will be signing contract for only 1 crore with the winner.
The whole thing is Making Money.... nothing else....

In my opnion, according to wife's visualization, Sony is making by receiving SMS from a particular mobile communication provider. Rather these, Indian Idol are a scapegoat. Stop these nonsense game, please.
