I agree with what you said but the mum said to gayu that when her and her husband die what will happen to Gayu but whatabout the old guy he is her father's age so same time her father would die his time will also be up. So Gayu would be in a bad situation the same time also, so it didn't make sense her excuse. But Damodar shouldn't be asking for dowry when he himself has 2 big children and his old also, his nothing to recommend him to be asking for money.

i feel so bad for all those girls who might hv got married to a person who 's age is double of their age 😒

IKR.. Thats what i said i hate such society which feels an unmarried girl is a burden. Ok i understand there is no wrong in taking tension if daughter is still unmarried but that doesnt mean u will push her in hell.

Damyanti is behaving like a typical one of 1940s, who can see that Gayu will face problems if not get married at right time but not ready to see that what she is doing is good for nothing
