The Birlas execpt Pratima, Sharad, Anuj, Saurabh are under the impression that good looks are everything. Yuvraj stood by Suhani when Dadi, Regs & Menka plots against her but disappointed with him when he said in the contest that he disagrees with the answer that Suhani gave about choosing between looks & character.

Birla family - racist family.

I would like to ask you guys one question. Do you people mean to say that the black models/actresses are not popular? Have they not won the beauty contest? If you think like that, take Kajol's example. She is beautiful though she is dark. What you people say for that? Suhani is not bad looking either. So what if she is dark.

Here dey should be ashamed on ourself that dey making fun of god creatare so wht a person can do that..

So its means u should no have repect person having disabilities..

Repect de every person.. we all god creatures fey creates us someone's r birn with beautiful faces someone or ordinary.. So whom we judging that ur not beautiful..???

After aging evryone lost dere beauty..

The cvs were trying to show the Birla's misconception of beauty.That they are wrong for thinking fair = beautiful. I thought this show was going to be about a darker girls struggle in a country where fair girls are favoured.

I see this from a different point of view though. I'm mixed race. My mother is a dark skinned Goan woman and my father is a very white English man. My white cousins are constantly trying to get tanned, and my Indian aunts are bitching at their girls to stay out of the sun.

I tried asking my cousins about skin colour once, but it seems to be a sensitive subject.

In 2013 an Indian woman won Miss America. And because she was "dark" (she isn't dark), its caused a bit of a stir on twitter, with people pointing out that she wouldn't win beauty pageants in India because she's not fair enough.

DaRagMen are mad; there's no doubt in it; infact they cant be changed. Yuvraj is now a way better person than before. The CVs butchered his character, that's all i can say about Yuvraj.

Suhani (Rajshri) is pretty, cute and elegant. And infact she is not dark; and also not fair; Her skin tone is medium and in the show, they are using dark make-up, that's it..😃

I see some similarities between SSEL & Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin played by Mona Singh. In the latter, the main role was more ugly than Suhani in the beginning. Her fat glasses were awful. On top of that she had tooth braces. Her hairstyle & dressing sense was pathetic. Her walking style was very clumsy but she was very intelligent. Armaan had confessed his love for Jassi even when she was ugly.

People were making fun of her but later she got transformed as a beautiful model. Suhani is much better than her.

i have heard a saying,"if your eyes are beautiful, then you will love the world, if your tongue is beautiful, the world will love you"

suhani has beautiful eyes and tongue...so the world will love her...

but BH doesn't belong to this world nor they are humans...

i think suhani shud have spoken tatim beautiful as to my conscience..if people cant see wat can i evr do for tat...wat s wrong n being dark skinned or white skinned...even all people in d world r not fair complexion...its god given gift n y anybody blames it or feels abandoned if u they r black...i say im confident tat im beautiful...

instead of tat surat seerat shit...she s really degrading herself.. tats wat i say.

Yes, she could have given a better answer with the explanation along with choosing seerat. Surat goes down when age advances but seerat lasts forever.

Also she should have told that if a person is dark, it does not mean that the person is ugly.

I really don't understand this whole thing about being "dark". I am an Indian that lives in America, and I am tanned skin complexion. I am not fair, nor am I dark, but never had I ever faced such an issue about not being fair. I know it's a big deal in some parts of India, but when I went last year, there was no discrimination between skin color.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and all my favorites are kind of on the tanner side: Jessica Alba, Jennifer Lopez, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji -- these girls are all so gorgeous! And Suhani (as well as Rajshri), is so beautiful! Her normal complexion is pretty and her features are absolutely beautiful. ❤️

Yes & there are so many blacks who won the beauty contest in real life. Kajol has got a good facecut & has sharp features though she is dark.

On the other hand, Sridevi is fair but her features are dull. Her nose was awful & she had to undergo a plastic surgery to set it right.
