😉😲 So, I am back with the famous Sunday series. Instead of dhamaka, we will call it tamasha. ⭐️ In Hollywood, look at Melissa McCarthy. She is such a talented actress and a superstar with movies like Bridesmaids, Spy, etc. And in Bollywood, Sonakshi and Vidya have been bashed left and right. So have Parineeti. Is it right to criticize them? Please share your thoughts. And Madonna also said recently she can't stand fat people who will dance for her on tour. So, both industries have the extremes. 😃

I don't particularly care if actors are criticized based on their looks or weight. It was their choice to join BW in the first place, an industry that has an unhealthy obsession with the perfect size-zero figure. Not only the industry but the audience is obsessed as well. They just have to suck it up and accept the good and the bad that comes with being part of such a dark and glamorous industry. If Kat and Anu aren't spared because of their surgeries/botox then why should others be spared because of their weight?

Having said that, kudos to Vidya for having gotten this far in BW. It's wonderful how she used her weight as a strength instead of a weakness. Even then her peak was pretty short lived. Unfortunately, I don't think one can survive in this industry for long if they have weight issues. Sona seems to be fading as well unless she somehow manages to deliver a game-changer like Haider in the near future.

Cinema is a visual medium

So visually if they do not come off as appealing its our right to shit on them 😆😆

I have no issues with actresses being criticized for their weight as long as balding, buddha fugly uncleji heros are also criticized for their looks. It's the gender imbalance that gets me. I'm shallow and watch movies for hot men just as much as any tharki uncleji watching films for Katrina/Kareena's latka and jhatkas. I deserve hotties like Akki and ARK and Sid Malhotra dammit - mere bhi armaan hain 😆
