SW is an huge francise and one of the oldest and phamous franchise movie in HW. And this time its even more igger coz Harrison Ford aka Han Solo is returning along with old cast. The trailer was also received very well.

I am a star wars fan and in USA for sure Star wars will take priority over these two movies. I was not planning on watching Dilwale anyways but I will watch BM for Deepika 😆

Desis (except for nerdy ones) don't give a tiny rat's ass about Star Wars. I remember when i was all enthusiastic about Episode 3 people where were actually asking me what star wars is and then after seeing it deemed it weird. Jurassic World and F&F are more mass appealing and don't have all that complicated sci-fi stuff. Star wars in India and Pakistan will do as good as the avengers or other superhero flicks.

FF7 just clicked, it doing what it did what completely unexpected in India. I though Avengers Ultron would do more but it felt way short. Jurassic Park opened pretty low but picked up big time.

All these films in common had no big competition, they had chance to open big or pick up if low opening, but if there is something like Dilwale people will see dilwale. So don't think star wars is going to have any effect.


Even in US they don't carpet bomb releases however big they are like in India where other film don't get screens. Which means both Dilwale and BM will get enough screens or even record number of screens for Hindi films if they wish to. Even in Hollywood there will be multiple films releasing for Christmas (a Tarantino film, a DiCaprio film) , a week after star wars and they will all have enough screens to share.
