Answers to the Independence Day questions ⭐️

A1- Dr Annie Besant was a well known British socialist who supported the Indian freedom struggle by launching a political organization called the All India Home Rule League which aided her campaign for democracy in India.

A2- Congo, Korea and Bahrain are the three other countries that celebrate their Independence on this day.

A3- Bal Gangadhar Tilak since he was the first leader of the Indian Independence movement and he was conferred the title of Lokmanya which means that he was accepted by the general public as their leader.

A4- Quit India Movement organized by Mahatma Gandhi demanding that the British leave India in an orderly manner. This was the final act that tipped things in our favour.

A5- Hindi in Devanagari script was the official language in that period and English was used for official purposes.

A6- Kite flying is one of the traditions followed since independence. It symbolizes freedom in its truest sense.

A7- Indian Rebellion in 1857 was the major turning point in our freedom struggle.

A8- Bal Gangadhar Tilak said this as he believed in Swaraj which means self-rule implying that no one had a right to rule over an individual.
