8.15.15 - A twisted version of modern Ramayana?

According to a certain adaptation/version of the Hindu epic Ramayana, Sita was the daughter of Ravana. Now that Rama's Rachita has been kidnapped in the show, the question is what version of Ramayana will we be served? Where Dev, Rachita's dad himself, is the Raavan? Rama's mom is the Raavan? Or the one where Rama himself is the Raavan?

We also get to see a different side to Rama's character. I must admit, Rama's character is turning out to be a surprise package for me. When he calls up Rachita, who is already distressed because of everything that is happening, I thought he would apologize to her for the problems he unintentionally created for her and maybe even for his mother's emotional outburst. But he surprised me by instead telling Rachita that he did not like how her family insulted his mother. Obviously, he has zero regrets for all that he has said and done, because his love is pure and knows no ego or drama (except for the fake illness drama of course).

Rachita did not even want to talk to Rama but who convinces her to give him a chance? Our very own Amaya! And even when Rama tells Rachita that it was out of respect for the fact that they would eventually be bonded in marriage that he hadn't gone to the police about her Nanaji and if he had, they'd have known the seriousness of what they'd done, Rachita takes it as a threat and yells at him but Amaya sits her down and explains to her to try to understand his frame of mind and what e is going through. She tries to convince her that they all know the real Rama and he could never do or even wish anyone any harm. She also cites Mantu's faith in Rama as an example to prove her point so Rachita gives Rama a second chance. I have just one question to Amaya at this point. Can you not channel some more of this unwavering faith towards your relationship with Mantu and give it one more chance?

Rachita goes out for fresh air and gets kidnapped. It's almost like a Hercule Poirot kind of mystery. Rama says, "I'll show you my obsession now" after he hangs up the phone with Rachita and also tells his mom, he won't wait for fate to take it's course in his life and will force fate to bend to his will. A solemn Rama's mom tells him the next dawn would mark a huge change in their lives. Rudra talks to his chamchas on the phone and asks if the work is done. Three suspects, three motives. It only remains to be seen how long the CVs drag their feet on this suspense.

Meanwhile, GC taunts Amaya and Jazz about Rachita not coming home on time. Sneha tries to defend Rachi but a rather weird text message from Rachu's phone leaves everyone perplexed. All these years of being a fan of Agatha Christie had to have some effect on me because I picked up on a rather odd (insignificant?) thing from that text message. The message said "... Hum aa jaayenge" or something. Rachita does not refer to herself as "hum". That should've set warning bells ringing in the family but I guess they haven't read as many Hercule Poirot mysteries as I have *sigh*

Anyways, like I mentioned in my review yesterday, there are definite chances of Dimple turning grey. She mentions it today that ever since the wall between the two houses has broken, they've been seeing bad times one after the other.

Kaushalya realizes that they came into the Mathur family to make life hell for them but are going through hell themselves. Good realization Kaushalya! Does this mean you might consider exiting the scene soon? I honestly wouldn't really mind if she were to hang around too. She and Rudra are rather entertaining villains.

Rachita wakes up at an unknown place and I don't know what it was with the camera work but it seemed like the whole place was moving and I thought she was in an ambulance or something. But turns out she was just in a hospital room. I like it that as soon as she comes to her senses, she loves for her phone, arms herself with the most readily available thing to protect herself. That was a great touch of realism. But when she steps out the door, she realizes she is not in imminent danger coz it's a hospital. Then, as she inquires where she is, she overhears nurses talking about how Ramashrey Gupta ended opening his stitches because he did not stay in bed the way he was told to. And Rachu immediately assumes Rama is behind the kidnapping.

It's the wee hours of morning, the family is in a frantic search using all means possible to find Rachu when Amaya hears some noise near the door and finds an envelope that will have photos of Rama and Rachi together in a way that'd be enough to cause a scandal in Banaras.

Now it remains to be seen how unwavering Sneha's faith is in Rachita after this incident. Spoilers indicate a wedding track ahead and I'm actually looking forward to it. Because I think it'll move the story forward rather well. I just hope the CVs have a newer way of dealing with the post-marriage track though other than Rachi being the submissive bahu to an overbearing sickle-wielding saasumaa. I was also worried Rama would be a pushover as a husband but after today's episode, I am beginning to change my view. It's going to be fun to see the dynamics of Rama and Rachita's relationship post marriage!

Character of the day - Rachita. Anjum did a great job portraying the range of Rachita's emotions throughout the happenings of the episode

Scene of the day - Rachita's kidnapping because it's going to change the course of the story altogether

Dialogue of the day - Rama and his mom's dialogues about change in their lives. I think the CVs threw that in their to deliberately get us confused.

Nautanki of the day - Rudra Bhaiyya. Bahut kuch chal raha hai parde ke peeche but saamne se he acts so darn normal, it's amazing

Hasi ki dukaan - again me! No sight of Uma again makes me a very very happy viewer!

It'll be a dhamakedaar episode for sure.. rachus homecoming, photosscandal, GC's reaction, sneha defending her daughter, rachus take on all ths drama, Rama being accused(poor guy, im sure he's not behind the kidnapping and photo scandal but seems like luck is in his favor 😆 ) and last but definitely not the least RaRa k shadi ki baat 😳 and meanwhile ManYa getting closer 😳 according to itsAlia's spoiler there supposed to be a 'hot' scene between ManYa. now whatever it is, it has be "HOT" this keyboard has been playing with my imagination since alia informed about it.
