She ruled in the south indian industry, but in the hindi films(during her prime) I used to find her accent / diction jarring though her expressions, body language used to be spot on.

English Vinglish is her best performance..WOW! She captured the diction, body language, the finest nuances to absolute perfection and owned the film completely. Even a slight smile of her's did much more acting than all these expressionless dolls today. It was by far the best female performance of that year. She should have rightfully won the National Award for it. Too bad that even these normal stupid award shows didn't acknowledge her mighty performance.

Gosh this is sooo difficult. So many of my favorites are up there from Chandni to Lamhe to Gumrah to Sadma. Can't vote.

Wow! Thank you Sri fans ⭐️

The data shows that her most favorite performances are the bookend years - 1983 (Sadma - debut year) & 2012 (EV - ... And then another trend,... people having a tough time to pick a favorite from the list. 👏👏👏

Actresses today should keep this filmography in mind for sheer variety and longevity. And most importantly use her conduct as rolemodel to remain HUMBLE and continue to let their WORK speak for you. She achieved all this without PR support. ⭐️👍🏼

I looked up the original "Laadla" versions in South. I hope you all know that Sri was the original choice for Telugu (Nagma - Chiranjeevi version). She c'ldn't do it as she thought people w'ln't accept her. Later she accepted being regretful for the decision (esp since the movie was such a big hit in South) and then later did Hindi version (first denied due to date issues, then accepted it after Divya's tragic death).

The Hindi version though was more refined IMO ( of course it had to appeal to the national audience). The entire movie was good until the regressive climax. 🥱 I bet it would be more successful had she continued to be herself and not forced to do a 180 degree turn.

Nonetheless, She was phenomenal in the movie. A SPIT-FIRE performance... highlighted by her beautiful kohled eyes. I can write a thesis on that performance... scene by scene analysis 😆

Did anyone pay attention to her dialog delivery? It was VERY DIFFERENT compared to her other films. She proved she could modulate her voice just as well. There was authority in the voice. 👍🏼

Another movie, she deserved an award for... but people were swooned by Madhuri in HAHK that year 😆
