Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani 11 August 2015 Written Update

The epi. begins with Rajmata's grand entry to the party. Gayatri is excited to see her & folds her hands to pay her respects. Other guests in party too welcome Rajmata with respect. The arrival of Princess of Kinnour, Princess Sharmila is announced. She alongwith her family enters the party with a lofty gait & greets Rajmata. Rajmata recalls her convo. with Yashoda that they can pay off the debts with the dowry that Sharmila will bring. She welcomes Sharmila to Ameerkot. Sharmila says, I dont attend parties but couldnt resist when the invitation was from Ameerkot. Rajmata asks her how did she find Ameerkot & she says, havent seen yet but have heard a lot... Will tell you if the praises were right or wrong, when I'll meet...then corrects it as when I'll see She is actually thinking about Ranaji, not Ameerkot - Rajmata understands this and tells her, you'll find that the praises were neither right nor wrong but weren't enough and were less! KuvarUncle (Chandravadansingh Dev) & his wife Kokila are listening to their convo. He asks her to make sure Sharmila never agrees for the alliance with Ranaji. She assures him that she'll poison Sharmila's mind.

KuvarUncle & Kokila greet Sharmila's father Maharaja Jaisingh. Uncle asks him about his injury on shoulder & he brushes it off as small wound. KuvarUncle praises his bravery that lion wounded his shoulder when he went for hunting in jungles of Bhopal but he is calling it just a minor injury! Rajmata introduces Kokila to Sharmila & her father. Kokila tries to flatter Sharmila but the latter isnt impressed & mentions that her mom told her Kokila is old-fashioned. Kokila says I used to be old-fashioned but with time my thoughts have changed & looks sourly at Sharmila's Mom. She takes Sharmila with her to introduce her to other guests & KuvarUncle takes her parents with him asking Rajmata to meet other guests.

Mr. Wilkinson comes to Rajmata & greets her. Gayatri & her father & Deewanji are watching. Wilkinson sarcastically praises the lavishness of party & taunts Rajmata about being extravagant when affected by drought. Rajmata feels offended. Gayatri comes there & gives back to Wilkinson. Water (i.e. wealth) is in abundance here but these days our rivers are meeting foreign seas! Rajmata is impressed, GovindSeth tries to stop Gayatri from arguing with Wilkinson. Wilkinson doesnt understand Gayatri's retort so she tells him, in our country Guests are treated like Gods & we dont consider how much money is spent while serving the God. Rajmata too did the same! Wilkinson says, "Guest is God" is a foolish notion! Gayatri says, maybe you're right! Many a times we serve even the thieves considering them our guests and later the guests reveal their true colors... Who knows this better than you!! Rajmata & GovindSeth's family is stunned at Gayatri's audacious retort. Wilkinson fumes & says, am confused who is thief?Whose home you're talking about? Gayatri says, our home & you decide who's theif! Wilkinson walks out in anger. Rajmata feels so proud & asks Gayatri who is she as she didnt recognize her. Deewanji introduces GovindSeth to Rajmata. She welcomes him. He wishes her on her Bday & sarcastically apologizes for not bringing any gift as the loan he has given isnt repaid on time and so he is facing shortage of money. Rajmata's pride is hurt & she asks him what day it is. He says, it's Tuesday. Rajmata tells Deewanji, am saying it's Saturday & the latter agrees. Rajmata tells GovindSeth, Time is slave to the King! If King is happy, the residents will be happy too & wont if He doesnt! GovindSeth understands. Rajmata again asks Deewanji about Gayatri & he informs her she is GovindSeth's daughter. Gayatri greets Rajmata. She praises her for shutting Mr. Wilkinson up. Gayatri politely replies if an outsider taunts Rajmata in Ameerkot, that wouldnt be tolerated. Rajmata gets mighty impressed with her & asks Deewanji to serve the Seth family well.

Rajmata asks Yashoda if Gayatri is still unmarried & why. Yashoda doesnt know so she orders her to find it out. She says, when GovindSeth knows my shortcoming, I also must know his weakness! Both Bhabhis feel unhappy at Gayatri getting praised by Rajmata.

Sharmila asks Kokila how does Rajmata manage such grand palace & kingdom. Kokila says, Ranaji is back now & he looks after everything. Sharmila also speaks high of Ranaji & her eyes are searching for him. Kokila tries to discourage her that Ranaji is widower but his late wife's memories are still ruling his heart. She asks Sharmila to meet Prince of Tanakpur who is very handsome & unmarried but Sharmila asks her about Ranaji's arrival. She says, I have come here to meet Ranaji only & leaves. Kokila is offended at Sharmila's rude behavior.

KuvarUncle's assistant Sumer tells him, Mr. Wilkinson is very angry & leaving the party midway. Uncle tries to pacify Wilkinson but he says, am an army-man, not interested in your riches & lavish parties. This Royal luxuries arent a part of my life. He puts his hand on Uncle's shoulder & threatens him, if you dont convince Ranaji for doubled taxes then you wont receive any favors from Britishers & the Royal luxuries will no longer be a part of your life either. He leaves in anger. Sumer informs KuvarUncle that GovindSeth's daughter had an altercation with Mr. Wilkinson & she insulted him. Uncle gets furious. He gets into verbal spat with GovindSeth trying to show him his place. GovindSeth doesnt flinch and pays him back in his own coin. Uncle threatens him our swords are extremely sharp; GovindSeth replies now the time calls for destroying the enemy with extremely sharp brain, not sword! He excuses himself & Uncle thinks, I'll destroy your pride today with my sharp brain only.


Guests are asking for Ranaji. Suddenly the lights are dimmed & Ranaji is shown playing piano. All heads turn to look at him. Ranaji imagines Sulakshana amongst the guest & gets sad recalling their moments together. With deep pain in his eyes, he plays the piano. Sharmila is spellbound watching him playing music with such intensity. Gayatri too watches him mesmerized & gets all dreamy. She imagines herself hiding b/h curtain stealing glances at Ranaji & he looking for her while playing piano. Guests applaud Ranaji's piano playing & she gets back to reality.


Ranaji meets guests at Party & Gayatri watches him transfixed. She sees the hanky gifted by her in Ranaji's blazer pocket & gets on cloud 9! Her mother takes her with her. A steward offers them Prawn (seafood). Badi Bhabhi tries to take it but Damyanti stops her & asks the steward if its Veg. He says its nonveg. Gayatri tells her Mom, this is royal palace & the people here wont be eating same food that we eat. Her eyes keep searching for Ranaji only. A man standing b/h her greets Ranaji & Ranaji reciprocates his greetings but Gayatri thinks Ranaji is greeting her & gets elated. Ranaji smiles at the man & she blushes thinking him to be smiling at her!

Rajmata comes to Ranaji with Kokila & Yashoda. She introduces him to Sharmila's father - Maharaja Jaisingh of Kinnour. Sharmila introduces herself to Ranaji & extends her hand for handshake. Ranaji smiles & shakes hands with her. Gayatri watches this & feels uncomfy.


A steward serves drink (looks like Red Wine) to Gayatri saying Ranaji has sent it for her. Gayatri innocently consumes it all thinking it's sent by Ranaji. She feels dizzy & walks around in haze. Her mother gets tensed seeing her in this state and walking towards Ranaji.
