Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi lauds Amit Paul & Prashant Tamang, the contenders for the Indian Idol 3 title

Indian Idol finalists Amit Paul & Prashant Tamang serendaded the Congress chief on Saturday morning (September 22).

Amit and Paul met Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday morning (September 22) to take her wishes ahead of the grand finale of the reality show Indian Idol. The finalists are in the capital for the finale that will be held today in the evening. Congress President Sonia Gandhi said that she's proud of the youngsters and they are idols in their own way.

It is D-day in the saga of the battle of the hills today (September 24, 2007). An entire nation will be watching out for who will be the next Indian Idol 3 in the grand finale tonight. Its a moment of pride for Shillong and Darjeeling.

Amit hails from Shillong whilst Prashant's hometown is Darjeeling.
