So I wasn't going to make a post today what with feeling down and all about JA ending but then I read Coolpree's suggestion and Diksha's PM about making one. That got me thinking. Why not? Why should I sit wallowing in sadness about a show ending when I could pen down the things that I liked in today's episode instead?A show that has given me so much joy deserves a better goodbye doesn't it?
So things that I liked today:
Diwan-E-Khaas: More than any particular thing in this scene I just liked what it represented. Many of us feel that Jodha is given too much praise and put on a pedestal and made to look great at the cost of Akbar. But what came through to me especially today in that scene was that Jodha is up there on a pedestal because Akbar is great and big enough to put her there. He knows that as a woman no matter how smart and capable she is, she cannot do much without him being there for her every step of the way.
He even kept Ruks' dignity by allowing her to felicitate Jo. He could've easily told her to get lost.
Jo-Ruks: Ruks finally admits her insecurity regarding Jalal as soon as Jo stepped into the harem. The sensitivity with which Jo handles Ruks.
Ruks farewell: Liked this a lot. The way Jalal started off being stern and uncaring but everyone knows he was heartbroken seeing his best friend leave. Jo placing a pleading hand on his shoulder and silently urging him not to let Ruks leave with bitterness in his heart.
Jalal's encouraging words to his dear friend which I am sure will be the wind beneath her wings and prop her up when she is far away from home. Him telling her that he will be waiting for her to get back home.👏
JoJa Bedroom: Loved the way Jo very adeptly manouvered Jalal away from her feet.😆Her telling him that it is only his confidence in her that has helped her to do what she does. That is so so true. I just feel that these two are made for each other. Her emotional support for him, an emperor who has to deal with the harsh and unpleasant realities outside and many times inside the palace walls. She is his solace. Someone he can come to and just be.. And he is her pillar without which she pretty much wouldn't have been able to do justice to most of her intellectual abilities.
The Maqbara: Is there anything not to like about this scene? When he says "aapko toh hamari dulhan banana hee tha" and the other dialogue about the seena and shamsheer(I dont remember the exact words), I was like
That's it for today guys! Please share what you liked about today.
