My Review-

Let me start with my absolute favorite:

Main agar kahoon:
Words can't describe how this song makes me feel. I've fallen hopelessly in love with it. Sonu croons his way into your heart, his voice so silky smooth it caresses you, brings a lump to your throat and tears to your eyes. Can you imagine what it would be like to have someone say such things to you with a voice like that?
The lyrics are so simple but so sweet and heartfelt. Javed has never done better.
The music, the guitars strings in the background, add to the yearning in Sonu's voice to heighten the emotion.

A true masterpiece! I can't stop hearing it.

the rest in random order since there's no clear favorite. All are so good.

Dard-e-disco:
Such a cute song. I love the Arabic feel and of course we all know how SRK looks in it. Though I don't like English lyrics in BW songs, they somewhat blend with the background and don't stand out too much, thank God. A foot tapping number which will be a hit in all the discos.
Sukhwinder has done a wonderful job. I didn't think his voice would suit a disco song but it's perfect.

Jag soona soona laage:
You can feel the pain in this song. The opening by Richa Sharma is so plaintive you feel like wailing too. Rahat Fateh Ali also does a great job of bringing out the desolate and devastated feeling.
I love that the background music is simple with drums being the main accompaniment.

Deewangi deewangi:
A totally mad number, the beats and lyrics make you want to let your hair down and let loose. I think this will be the 30 actors track (stars have descended on earth) and I can't wait to see the picturization.
Everyone has sung so well. I wish though that Udit had got more time.
The hands up and say Om Shanti Om part sounds like a Boney M song Lol.

Dhoom Taana:
Now here's a totally 80s based song (Mary are you reading?). I love the nostalgic visit back to the 80s and the 60s in 'Main agar kahoon'.
This song reminds me of those Rajesh Khanna-Mumtaz or Jeetendra-Mumtaz songs where the heroine wears those tight, figure hugging Salwar Kameezes, big bouffant hairdos and runs down hills and the hero teases her, tugs her hair and does those jhatkas. Fantastic trip down memory lane for me and those who have no idea what it was like...well you can picture it now.

Ajab si:
Another sweet romantic song. The tune is simple and filled with happiness that the one he loves is with him. such sweet lyrics, I don't understand why other directors don't ask for such lyrics. They are so simple and yet convey so much. I didn't like KK's voice in this before but now I'm getting used to it.

And now we come to the finale. The most dramatic song of the album.
Dastaan-E-Om Shanti Om:
What a beautiful, grand, sweeping song. I feel like I'm watching an opera with the story of love and betrayal unfolding before me. The music is so rich and dramatic and the Prague Philharmonic has done an excellent job.
the story is told so well, giving you hints of what's coming next, in the age old storytelling tradition. Now I'm even more excited and impatient for the movie to release.
Shaan has sung in a rich, strong voice. He has honed his singing skills.

The best in all the fields....music, lyrics, singers adn music directors have come together to produce this fanbtastic album.
Vishal Shekhar....after Cash (which I liked) I couldn't believe they could produce such a variety. I think the brain behind that is Farah. She has outdone herself this time. Each song is so different from the other and so distinct.

I love, love, love this album.
