I love love love Rama's character. Rafi Mallik is an absolute treat to watch as Ramashrey Gupta! He is such a breathe of fresh air in the story. But Rama Rama kya hai drama? He turned out to be such a Chhupa Rustam, faking his illness, getting Shyamu to say the right dialogues at the right time to make it seem as though he fell ill coz he worked so hard to memorize the poem Rachita had asked him to. He is pulling just the right strings to make his way into Rachita's heart. Like he said to Shyamu.. Even she won't realize when she fell in love with him. Rama and his dream sequence, bechara! Thank God I knew from the spoilers it was a dream sequence. Or I'd have probably reached into the screen and broken out into the 80s song - "Koi pathar se na maari mere.. Errr.. Rachita ke aashiq ko..." I like that Rama has all the right people around him too - be it Shyamu, or his own dad. I loved how he said, "Rachita betiya wahan akele kaam kar rahi hai. Jaa.. Uske paas jaa uski thodi si madad kar de!" Way to go Guptaji! Whether Rachita admits it or not, she definitely cares for Rama. And it did hurt her when Rama refused to take the glass of water from her and instead got one for himself saying he did not want to trouble her anymore. It was a nice display of haq with which Rachita forced him to sit down and rest instead of helping her. Like they say, there are a million ways of saying I love you.. Did you eat?.. Take rest!.. Have your medicines!.. You just have to listen 😉

Rama already has a decent support group for his love story but he wants one more person. After the hilarious (coz it was a dream sequence) dream sequence, he remembers Mantu.

Now, with each passing episode, I am getting more and more convinced that the astrologer Uma and Amaya went to was either fake or mixed up their horoscopes. Otherwise why? Why would Rama decide he wanted to talk to Mantu right then? Why would he insist Mantu come to the puja? And why would Uma herself convince Mantu, with a kasam no less, to go wherever Rama was calling him? If this isn't destiny playing it's game, I don't know what is?

I like that Rama senses Amaya's desperation. He asked if she was waiting for someone very special but she brushes it off. Can we please please please have a double Cupid? Amaya-Mantu playing Cupid for Rama and Rachita and vice-versa? That would be so awesome to watch! Especially since Rama seems so much more level headed and focused in matters of love.

So anyways, Mantu comes but he is in his own tashan. On the other hand, Amaya is waiting, longing for his presence. And I feel like, even when Mantu started to walk away after getting the numbers of the pandit, he seemed to be dragging his feet.

I love Sneha's approval and love for Mantu. She asks about Mantu to Amaya. And when she sees him leaving from the door, she asks him to come inside. Mantu still turns away but whether it is respect for Sneha or his own desperation to see Amaya just once, he comes back in.

And that's the most amazing, breathtaking, poignant scene of the day. As Neeti croons Manamohana... Mantu steps in and Amaya sees him. As soon as they set eyes on each other, the rest of the world slips into darkness and it's just the two of the them. And Amaya songs the rest of the lines that convey all her pent up emotions so so poetically and beautifully. If Amaya uses the song to express her emotions, Mantu does it merely with his eyes.. The desperate longing, love, frustration, everything that he feels in his heart, you can see on his face, in his eyes. Oh what a scene it would've been if they forgot the world, gave into their longing and just hugged each other right there. You can see it in every tensed line on their face and every wound up fiber of their body that that's what they want to do and you can also make out the Herculean effort with which they are stopping themselves. Mind blowing!

The light filters back into their stolen moments, the voice of Amaya's heart is once again replaced by Neeti's crooning and with that both of them come back to reality where promises and oaths separate them and they step back away from each other. *sigh* the real world is too harsh for lovers! Kudos to Hiba and Dhruv for pulling off the scene so well and to the writers and makers for such a beautiful scene!

In the precap, Mantu tries to make an exit from the pooja but the Panditji tells him since the pooja has started he can only leave after it ends. GC of course, has something to say. Don't know what.

Okay, in my excitement to write about the love stories, I forgot to mention that the CVs cleared our questions regarding Dinesh. He apparently wasn't around when the walls came crashing down. He is visibly shocked and yet he accepts GC's dialogue on love winning over hatred and accepts Sneha back into the family. This is the problem. No one in the Chaubey family questions GC about any of his decisions - good or bad. Looks like GC did not give his son much of a choice or freedom either. And I was right that Sneha was worried about Dinesh's reaction yesterday after talking to Dimple.

Now my gut feeling tells me that the horoscopes were mixed up or misinterpreted. Which means that we might be in for Mantu-Amaya marriage sometime soon. And maybe it'll be Saathiya (the movie and not that dreaded show with the same name) style - where they get married and don't let the families know till I don't know.. Maybe Mantu wins over the family or Rachita gets married or whatever and out of the blue they have to finally admit that they got married. Just thinking out loud. Sometimes I wish Indian TV would operate along the lines of the English one. Finish up a show and upload the episodes on Netflix so I can grab my popcorn and binge watch it till my eyes hurt and then I won't have to rack my brains over what's going to happen next. More often than not, it awakens the writing ka keeda in me and then I spend ridiculous amounts of time writing up scenes and stories that barely if ever get shown.

Enough of my rant now! Your turn!

Scene of the day - Manmohana! Hands down!

Character of the day - Ramashrey Gupta ala Manju style!

Hasi ki dukaan of the day - Ramashrey Gupta yet again. The sly smile he has when he sees his plan working.. Too good!

Nautanki of the day - Uma Devi! I wonder how she'll react when she finds out she herself sent Mantu to Amaya! Lol! That'll be worth watching! Or maybe Rama again for his awesome acting of being oh so ill just win Rachu's heart 😃

Dialogue of the day - "aapki sister is love karte hain. Patane mein madad karengi?" Lol Rama! Really??!!

Oh! And before I go.. They've been focusing a lot on the panditji's hearing disability. It's been highlighted again and again - with Sneha yesterday, Rudra today and Rama talked about it to Mantu as well. I wonder if that's going to lead to some interesting scene. Mistaking Amaya and Mantu to be a couple? Or maybe Rama and Rachita? Let's wait and watch!

It was a superb episode today...after back to back 2-3 disappointing epis...today epi provided the much needed fresh air...

Starting with the first scene...loved Sneha Dinesh ...bro-sis reunion...we discussed that yesterday...and i was glad to get such a scene...😃👏..though it still seemed little wierd that he agrees about reunion without details...but still chalta hai...😛

Then coming to star of the epi...RAMASHREY ⭐️⭐️
I wud give him Nautanki of the day too...😆...the way he was doing nautanki of coughing constantly...and what???? he teamed up with Shamu to execute his drama..😲😲...thats what i dint expected...and he got what he wanted... Rachi's attention...☺️

Rama's dad oneliners...i m a fan of them..."Khaas khaas ke TB failayega yahan pe" 🤣 and then sent him to help Rachi...and aww...the way Rachi hold his hand and told him to rest......I just loved to see them together today...colour co ordinated...they were looking perfect!!!

I loved the small panditji - Rudra scene too...😆
And then the thappad dream scene..😆...poor Rama got 3 slaps.😒...thankfully it was a hilarious tragic dream...😛

And then yeah...Rama did the best thing..⭐️...called up Mantu...😳...Uma unknowingly insisted him to go...and then completely Thanks to Rama and then Sneha calling him inside...the work was done!!! 😎

ManYa scene was beautifully done...yeah it was a short dream sequence but loved it !!!

Also i forgot to mention...Niti was looking so cute and beautiful when she started singing Manmohan...😳

For me dont know if that kundali are mismatched or anything...i m not even sure if that scene is so important.😕..but one thing im very much sure...i have a very strong feeling...that ManYa marriage wont happen in 30 days...and honestly i dont want also...confession wud happen for sure...😳...i want to see the ManYa and RaRa relations after confessing but before marriage !!😃 and we have lots to see in Dev's track still...marriage wont happen secretly also...i feel so...

Okay so can I just say that today's episode reminded me that this indeed was the TSM that I fell in love with :)
Ramashrey Gupta, what to say? He fascinates me and shocks me in the same moment. It is hard to understand how he does it, how does he keep himself so positive when maybe things could be totally not in his favor. He just doesn't care what Rachita says and is clear about his feelings and will not change his plans for anyone. He may seem childish for being in his dreamy lovey phase always, but he seems like the most level-headed and mature one in terms of what he should do. Mantu needs a love guru like him. And definitely glad that he is back because we needed some light moments in the show and Rama provided that comic relief.

I am also glad that the Sneha-Dinesh angle was cleared up, but like you said Dinesh really had no choice or opinion of his own. I don't even remember hearing Neeti's voice before today when she said "Par Dadaji" 😆 That is how controlling GC is. Supposedly it is a happy complete family, but in reality it is a bunch of faces that are covering the GC behind them.

Now coming to my ManYa, I am in love with them even in their separation. Today's manmohana scene was absolutely amazing. These two are incomplete without each other in a real sense. I cannot even explain Amaya's feelings when she was standing at the door waiting for Mantu. She was lost, she was alone, she just needed him to be there. I was wondering what she was expecting from him if he did come, but honestly the answer is nothing. She just wanted him to be there, she just needed to see him.

Aisha and I were discussing this on the ManYa AT, but there was one moment in the sequence when Mantu gasps for air as he moves back away from Amaya. The beauty of Mantu's love couldn't be displayed any better than it was in that one instant. He would genuinely die without her. Only Amaya has given him true satisfaction and happiness and perhaps he won't get that feeling from anyone else even if he tries. Even though Mantu loves Uma and Chiklu, he ultimately considers them his responsibility and has never expected anything in return from them. He has for the first time demanded something for himself, he wants to be immature and selfish and wish things for himself in Amaya's love something he could never do after his parents' death.

I love these predictions of yours, Neet :) I really hope that your gut feeling comes true because I am excited to see that type of track play out. The deaf pandit might have a role to play as will Rama. Maybe Rama will have something to do with ManYa's marriage if it happens, possibly he convinces them.

Special mention to the newly sprouting friendship between Rama and Amaya. I am excited to see how this bond plays out, but I feel this Jiju-Saali Jodi will be a hit! I think our intelligent Ramaji will figure out the problems between ManYa real soon and will get to this love guru business.

I love your take on Mantu's love for Amaya. The fact that he wants something for himself and that's her and her love. And yes! I did notice that slight gasp he took as he steps away after looking at her to his heart's content. Like he had stopped breathing without seeing her and just the sight of her breathed life back into him. Gosh! They are so helplessly, hopelessly in love. It tugs right at my heart strings.

You know I really wouldn't mind it going either way - if my guy feeling turns out right or wrong, just as long as we don't get any ridiculous holier-than-thou sacrifice drama. I'm more than fed up of seeing those. As long as ManYa are together and know of their love for each other, I am happy 😊

And yes! I really want Rama to get involved in ManYa love story and sort things our for these two duffers. Rama-Mantu friendship is a hit as it is and I am sure Rama-Amaya would be a super hit jija-saali Jodi.. I can't wait for that to happen!!! 😃

Their story may not be the most unique, but their love is so pure.

Actually yes both scenarios are fine except I fear the sacrifice drama and marriage kind of eliminates the possibility of Mantu Uma ever being together, but after seeing how vulnerable and lifeless Mantu is without Amaya, I don't think he will ever agree to marry Uma anyway.

very well written review! absolutely loved your take. but still confused on whose the Lord Rama and whose Manmohana! Mantu to me is seeming more like Shree Ram- maryada purushottam, man who lived for others, sacrificed his own love for his kshatriya dharma, mantu is distancing his love for Uma's promise, here i see Uma as the pesky praja of Mantu's kingdom. Rama on the other hand is seeming more like Manmohana, Purn Purushottam, Leela, who is willing to bend the rules for his lakshya, his love! I'm loving this rama personally!
