It's official now. I hate you Uma! Your selfishness is beyond redemption! Do you not see the pain, the longing, in both Mantu's and Amaya's eyes? Do you not have a single bit of self respect to be so disgustingly desperate? All you see in Uma's eyes is vile, venomous, desperation, hatred and scheming. Not a single ounce of love or care, even for the man she claims to love. She is willing to make him suffer because she does not want to suffer the pain of his rejection. That isn't love Uma! That isn't! I desperately wish Mantu would confide in someone else other than this maniacal, desperate, scheming, selfish, hysterical psycho. Anyone else, even Chiklu for that matter would put things in better perspective for Mantu and break this limbo that Amaya and Mantu have been forced into by Uma's clever scheming.
There are two things that made me really really happy though. One, despite the fact that Uma forbade him from going to or saying anything to Amaya, Mantu still walked by Amaya.. He may not have said a single word but just the fact that he took that step to walk towards her gave me hope that at least Mantu's love is beyond the restrictions of oaths and promises. He is helplessly in love.
The second thing that gave me hope was that despite the fact that Mantu heard Amaya tell Uma about how there were one too many a nautanki in Banaras and one just had to look carefully to find them and Uma tried to add ghee to the fire by telling Mantu that Amaya was full of pride and condescending and didn't care, Manth did not ruminate or dwell on any of it. Because I feel at heart, Mantu knows it with absolute certainty that Amaya is not like that. He also knows with absolute certainty that Amaya loves him. Any doubts, any hesitations, any promise binding him is all superficial.
I like how when he spoke to Amaya he made it clear that he wanted her to want him to come to the pooja. And Amaya tried her best through the evident lighting up of her face as se talked to him to convey to him that he matters to her. Alas, the unspoken words keep them apart, even though everything else, from their eyes, to their tone, to their body language scream it out that they love each other and log for each other.
I am loving it that Mantu is not backing down one but in front of GC. Despite the fact that GC would be his grandfather-in-law, he has no qualms in giving it back to him. You go boy!
Rachita is very defensive around Rama. Anything he says or does, she assumes he is trying to woo her and Rama realizes it. Of course he is offended, but I wish he would be said something like it's true that I love you and I cannot help that but let's not let that come in the way of our friendship or something before abruptly telling her that if his presence or talking to him makes her uncomfortable he won't talk to her or trouble her ever again. Khair, that does make Rachita question her attitude towards Rama for at least a split second.
Dev babu.. How did you find out that Rudra actually wants to destroy the Mathurs? I would've understood if you'd singled him out coz you thought he'd be easily swayed by money or power. But then you said an enemy's enemy is a friend. Isn't Rudra the son of Hari, Rishi's ever faithful and loyal right hand man? How did you come to the conclusion that hari's son would be an enemy to the Mathurs? Especially since, the Mathurs, or even the Chaubeys who live with them day in and day out haven't figured it out themselves? Baath kuch hazam nahi hui. But now that Dev and Rudra have joined hands, seemed like trouble is building it's chakravyuh around the Mathurs from both within and outside.
The sisters have such an amazing bonding, I wish Rachita and Amaya would have coiffed about their respective love lives to each other. With Rachita, it's all too new and I get it that she hasn't even thought of Rama along those lines.. Yet.. But then, she did tell Amaya that sometimes Rama makes her uncomfortable. But Amaya maintained a stoic silence about what was going on between Mantu and her. I wish she'd talk about it to Rachita. Sometimes you think you know what you are doing and you think tats the best way to handle things but it's only when you talk to someone else about it that a whole new perspective opens up to you that you may not have seen. Plus, Rachita is first hand witness to Uma's psycho-ness the night of the engagement.
Jo kehna tha woh kaha nahi, Jo sunna tha woh suna nahi but Amaya is all eyes waiting for Mantu to come to the Puja. On the other hand, Mantu bechara is waiting for a single sign from Amaya to go running to her. And the psycho naagin-chipkali breed Uma is throwing tantrums and trying to keep Mantu away from Amaya.
But what happens next, makes me think the astrologer Uma and Amaya went to was either fake or he mixed up the girls' horoscopes. Coz even when Uma makes plans to keep Mantu away from Amaya in any and every way possible, destiny seems to be bringing the two together somehow, anyhow. Be it the chance meeting at the puja store or, as we saw in the precap, Rama asking Mantu to come to the puja at the Mathurs to arrange for a Panditji for the puja Uma wants to organize.
Makes me think the astrologer was wrong. Waise bhi Uma Aur Mantu ke kaunse gun milthe hain? I don't find anything similar, especially since the true nature of Uma's character had been revealed.
Character of the day - destiny! Jo baar baar Amaya aur Mantu ko kisi na kisi tarah ek dusre ke saamne le aati hai!
Scene of the day - Mantu giving it back to GC 😛
Dialogue of the day - "Tumne nahi bulaya Amaya" the tashan with which Mantu said it was awesome. He was expressing his disapproval like he had a right over her.
Hasi ki dukaan - Rama's dad! He is so happy about this whole Chaubey-Mathur reunion. He even asks his wife to become a hasi ki dukaan at the puja! Lol!
Nautanki of the day - Uma! No comments.
Before I wrap up, quick mention for Rudra too. He is such an affable villain so far. I'm liking him. I prefer Rudra's fun and entertaining, nautanki filled grey shades and dev's calculated moves over GC's archaic, arrogant, moralistic chauvinism and Uma's selfish, psycho, hysterical b***hiness. Seriously, it's a pain to watch Uma on screen now. If it weren't for the fact that most of her scenes are with Mantu and Amaya, I'd much rather skip her scenes. Kudos to the actress for making Uma so despicable. That look of nauseating desperation that she portrays is bang on! But please cut down on the screechy tone of your voice which makes us want to switch channels even if Mantu/Amaya are in the same frame!
