Shah Rukh Khan confirms teaming up with friend Karan Johar on a project after a gap of three years; says that the film-maker "has a good mind"

Last year, whenen Shah Rukh didn't't appear on Karan's chat show, rumours of an alleged fallout between the two started doing the rounds. The speculation was fuelled further when Karan was allegedly seen getting friendly' with Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. However, we have now come to know that Shah Rukh and Karan are set to join hands once again.

"I am not doing a film directed by Karan as yet. If I am not wrong, he is doing a film with Ranbir (Kapoor), Ash (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) and Anushka (Sharma); and I am not part of it (smiles). We (SRK's production house) are co-producing a film with Karan, which, I think, will be quite interesting, because the script is interesting. I recently heard the story. Karan has chosen the script, and he has a good mind. I like that he is joining hands with my company," says Shah Rukh, adding that they have "been in talks" for some time now about this co-production.

I called it -- some professional collaboration was going to happen. That's why Bebo suddenly started talking about SRK too. 😆

But starring Alia ...and Varun/Sid. 😆

Knew it was about to happen. Those twitter pics had some meaning, so yeah i'm guessing this is starring Alia

I had developed a film for over a year-and-a-half that needed another 3-5 months of screenplay work. That film is still going to be made and I will make it immediately after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. That film is tough and a challenging narrative and is about a husband, wife and a daughter and I have already cast the husband. (Most likely this would be the film? Maybe?)

Isn't KJo directing this film? It doesn't sound like KJo is the director for this collaboration...or that SRK is acting in it. But who knows...

SRK, Kajol / Aishwarya and Alia will play lead roles. SRK as father, Kajol / Aishwarya as mother and Alia as daughter. He He ...

Yeah i think he is. I don't know if this is the film they're producing it's just a guess. I don't know why but i've had a feeling this father-daughter story would have SRK and Alia, but i guess we wait and see

This was the one he offered Aamir I think. From the way SRK is talking, it seems like this specific film is not starring SRK.

SRK playing Alia's dad...if he agrees that will be something 😆

Oh okay well if Aamir's in it then we can rule out SRK producing it 😆

Yeah would be interesting and i would like to see it happen. Although technically SRK's played a dad, married man etc in heaps of films, much more than Salman or Aamir i don't know why he gets criticised so much for trying to play only young characters.

No I don't think Aamir is in it. 😆

All Khans are clubbed together..plusses and minuses. It is true that SRK's films atleast have the age difference explained in the story, but still it is a baap beti jodi at the end of the day. I think of the 3, SRK is most likely to agree to play dad to a this generation actress, but it might be 2-3 years before it actually happens.
