Aishwarya showstopper for Manish Malhotra's show at AICW2015 - Page 4

Mumbai: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her big runway comeback on Sunday evening. The actress scorched the ramp in a Manish Malhotra ensemble at the closing day of the Amazon India Couture Week. Interestingly it also marked Manish's silver jubilee as a costume designer.

Here's a picture of Ash just moments before she took to the ramp. Titled 'The Empress Story', the collection was reminiscent of the old world charm from the 1950s, when western fashion was being revolutionised and fashion shows had a sense of an intimate experience and luxury. Leading the brigade of empresses was Aishwarya, who looked regal in a chocolate brown floor length, voluminous gown teamed with a sequined shrug.

This was Aishwarya's comeback to the fashion ramp after a gap of five years. Coincidentally, the last time the 'Jazbaa' star walked the runway was also for the designer back in 2010 at the Couture Week. "This is familiar turf for me. I have been part of this platform for the longest time now. There was so much positive energy. I enjoyed it a lot. It never felt like I was gone for a while," the former Miss World said.
