Idol worship in Shillong
The scenery in Shillong may look tranquil but, there's an uprising of a different sort that is tearing through Shillong and it's called 'Amit Paul fever'. The charistmatic Indian Idol finalist is everyhwere you look and Amit's home town is going all out to make sure he is the next Indian Idol.
Whether its staying up through the night or plastering the town with posters, the people of Shillong are making sure the country knows who gets their vote.

While the results of the Indian Idol will finally be out on Sunday, September 23rd, looks like in Shillong, at least, Amit Paul seems to be the subject of idol worship.
