I think kajol and for e.g. madhuri have gotten lighter because they used to probably shoot all the time in the outdoors and were tanned, and now with such high spf sunscreens and not shooting outdoors, they are lighter. kajol is the most secure person in her appearance ever in bollywood, she never even got rid of her unibrow for so long.
