The story seems to be moving the Amrit Manthan way where Amrit tried to kill her younger sister just to satisfy her ego. But Swaragini is two steps ahead, in this Ragini which was the most submissive character has tried to kill her elder sister & that too for a guy who never loved her.
The characters are also leading to the same path:
Amrit-Ragini
Nimrit-Swara
Agam-Lakshya
Tej-Sanskar
Tej helped Nimrit to take revenge from Amrit although Agam also wanted to take revenge from Nimrit & he married Amrit for that but Lakshya is not that smart as Agam. But surely the bond b/w Swara & Sanskar is heading towards like that of Tej & Nimrit.
Amrit Manthan was clear about its theme which was sort of 'behen hi behen ki dushman' but Swaragini was always 'Jodey dilon k rishte'.
So for me its an old wine in a new bottle thats all.
Well, as far as AM is concerned it had a great suspense element. And Amrit was way too strong than Ragini.
