Parental Parallels!!

One thing that struck me after watching four episodes of ETR2 was the relationship quotient in the show, particularly that of parents and their offsprings.

One side we have Ranaji and Rajmata! initially i thought rajmata must be the step mom based on promos and articles. But after seeing the episode, it is clear that she is a mother who worries about her son. But they are not demonstrative. May be being part of royalty, they are not demonstrative by nature. Even when rajmata was worried abt her son, she was talking abt it to her maid and not to her son. And when he was upset abt his dead wife, she left him to his own misery, not really disturbing. is it royalty? or is it british influence? i mean, like british people generally wdnt intrude into others privacy evn their own children after they are grown up.

In contrast, we see Gayathri and her loving parents. Her mom might scold her but it is out of worry and love. And her dad, unlike other people in those times, he seems to have given more freedom to his daughter and respects her intelligence. And they dont hide their love to their daughter and they are openly demonstrative.

This parallel struck me sooo very different! Interesting parallels!

Perhaps bcoz of royalty they behave in a certain way n dont disclose emotions in front of everyone not even own son. I think that lady is more than maid of Rajmata like a close confidante

am just loving gaytri's family..specially father & daughter bonding..

Rana's Mother and Gayathri's Parents.. both of them worry about their child's happiness... both have the influence of their way of living and the time.. like being a ROyal family Rajmata cant show her pain regarding her son in public other than to her maid... where as Gayathri's parents cant let her have a life exactly same to their sons.. But both the parents are trying their best to make their child comfortable...😊 Like How Rajamata left Rana wen he was missing his wife and seth' family doing their best to let Gayathri have a life just like their sons...

I also liked how almost same incidents and things have made entirely different impact on Rana and Gayathri...
First both of their past... Rana lost his Wife which made him kind of depressed n sad where as Gayathri too lost her magether still she is trying to find happiness in her life...

i think their way of handling situation and managing their children is different

agree with u may be after his wife's death he stayed away from everyone so their relation is like this but loving Gayatri n her father bonding

Agree with you, i think the royals can't voice their concern in loud whereas we commoners can, love the father-daughter bonding, both the parents want the happiness of their children but their approach is different.
