When you share a personal rapport with someone, you do take those kind of liberties. My cousin has a dark complexion and her friends (both male, female) call her "blackie". She doesnt take offense to it. She only gets offended when someone who she doesnt know all too well says something to that effect.

Rishi Kapoor himself later posted on twitter that it was a personal joke. He's also apologized. What else should he do?
