Nimboli's behaviour is beyond understanding. As per story - she was tortured since she was an infant. Then how she has not learnt anything? There is no effect of any torture, any incident on this girl. She is hell bent on not understanding - not learning anything from her experiences. 😕. Even animals respond to punishments and rewards - that is how circus animals learn the tricks. Even a small child remembers that the fire burns - learns that someone is cruel (after taking beatings a few times) and he/she should not do anything to annoy that person, even a small child tries to be away from molesters even though he/she does not even know what is happening. But Nimboli will not learn anything. Is this called innocence or is it some type of mental retardation?

She looks cute - but behaves like a five years old even thought she is close to 13 now. Once she was punished severely for finishing the laddoos, then punished again and was left in jungle tied to a tree in midnight for eating sweets - she learnt nothing. Now again she almost finished the jalebees - perhaps Kundan told her it is not for her (I could not hear properly) - but it looked like that. Creatives show such things to garner sympathy for Nimboli - at least on me - the effect is just opposite. Think something better creatives - repetitive things are boring.

Don't understand how this behaviour is aimed at getting sympathy for that girl.

From what is shown the girl is not shown looking for sympathy or understanding from the rest of the world so why do viewers want to pour sympathy on her when she doesn't want it neither the CVs don't seem to want the viewers to feel sympathy for her?

They are only showing how children who don't receive proper guidance and whose energies are not channelised can become dangerous to themselves and others

Why is she expected to go around with sad face and look sad?

She is just trying to cope her best with the world she is thrown into.

People have a different ways of coping with life

Just because she is growing up under tough conditions is she expected sit in one corner all along?

When she is beaten up or punished she will sit and cry and then go back to her usual cheerful self what is so abnormal about it?

She only gets punishments for her misbehavior nobody include the wise Mangala explain to her why she is wrong.

She just tells herself that she might as well do what she wants to do and if anyone thinks that she is wrong they will beat her up or lock her up or starve her. She has become immune to punishmenst.

Mangala tells one thing one day next she contradicts herself

That girl very stupidly in her desire to watch TV accepted a challenge. Kids throw each other challenges all the time.

Mangala is busy now helping her win that challenge by cheating. Only the day before this same Mangala blasted that girl for pulling prank on that Urmi and lying about it.

So what messages will that girl get?

There is nobody in that world of hers who strives to make her happy she has only herself to keep herself happy so she does what ever pleases her if people don't like it's too bad to hell wth punishments. She lives for this moment

The behaviour is not shown for gaining sympathy - the torture is being shown for gaining sympathy. And the torture is losing its effect because of Nimboli's behaviour. Nimboli is not looking for sympathy - when they show torture on innocence character - it is to gain sympathy for that character. Is it so difficult to understand? Or is it that my post lacks clarity?

The girl does not seem to be just coping - she is not learning. Why bring Mangala here? Even an orphan will learn in harsh environment. If in deed Nimboli's behaviour is normal (possible in reality) - then perhaps there is some problem in my understanding of human behaviour.

Sometimes she controls her hunger and craving. She gave a small bhashan to Bhagirathi that she will wait until guests eat and leave.And she gave that roti to the cow though she did not eat anything.
Quite contradictory behaviour on her part. Seems she wants to get caught.

She is getting mixed messages about what is right and what is wrong.One day she gets blasted for lying and cheating and then next day she gets help in cheating. She has seen Akheraj lying too.

She doesn't really care about what is right or what is wrong.

WHat kind of life does she have there? Does she have any hope of her life changing?

Does she know any life which is different from hers?

Does she know how the outside world is ?

When all she gets is work then shoutings and punishmenst every day of her life won't she get desensitised ?

Will she care for punishments?She knows that she will survive those punishments she has been surviving those punishments.

All she knows is that her life will not change it will be like this Kamili got married and left but she is married into that family so all she knows she has to live this way for the rest of her life.

If she has to live the rest of her life like this does she have to live in the fear of punishment foregoing even the smallest pleasures in life?

surprisingly nandini know how to cook but dont know how to make kachori .has harki or mangala or chagni did not teach nandini how to make kachori ? or nandini only know how to ma ke daal roti chawal sabji ..?

The quantum of punishment may be out of proportion but don't remember her being punished unnecessarily till now.

More than the punishments what isunhuman is the way Harki taunts that girl tears her self esteem with barbs and Akheraj doesn't even think that she is a human being with feelings - this kind of insensitive behaviour is what hurts that girl and this is totally inhuman on their part.

They treat her like dirt and that is the most hurting thing and that's when we really see hurt and bewildered look on her face because she never understands why she is called Manhoos and all the other names.

True Aparna, Nimboli has never been punished unnecessarily. From the time she was a baby she was punished for her wrong actions starting with crying in the crib.

Most times she does things to help others with full knowledge that she may be beaten. She then steels herself to the punishment.

There is no discrimination in that household. Everybody gets beaten including Kundan. Getting beaten is no big deal. Harki gets slapped, Kamli gets beaten senseless, Kundan is beaten, Mangala, while not beaten, is living under fear of Akhi's roving eyes. If all these can still smile and go about their lives, then so can Nimboli.

She has learnt to survive against all odds.

She has until now dutifully fulfilled all duties of a beendni. Hope one day she learns her rights too as the only legal wife of Kundan until her divorce or annulment.

when nandini make mistake for first time then it was understanble because she has no experience and even have sympathy for nandini when she got punishment but inspite of having bitter experience if she still want to do same thing without thinking once then it will be very difficult to have sympathy for nandini
