These are in no particular order. But definitely my five favourites of these actors.

Shah Rukh Khan:
1. Swades
2. Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa
3. Chak De India
4. Baazigar
5. Kal Ho Na Ho

Aamir Khan:
1. Earth
2. Lagaan
3. Rang De Basanti
4. Sarfarosh
5. Dil Chahta Hai

Salman Khan:
1. Tere Naam
2. Khamoshi
3. Kyon Ki
4. Andaz Apna Apna
5. Hum Saath Saath Hain

Akshay Kumar: He was the toughest to narrow down to just five.
1. Hera Pheri
2. Aankhen
3. Namaste London
4. Ajnabee
5. Special 26

Ajay Devgn: I actually haven't seen some of his best works. None you mentioned tbh.
1. Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai
2. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
3. Kaal
4. Golmaal
5. Main Aisa Hi Hoon

Hrithik Roshan:
1. Koi Mil Gaya
2. Guzaarish (I don't think this is underrated. It is widely regarded as the best of his career and people who had worked with quadriplegics said how spot-on his portrayal was).
3. Lakshya
4. Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai
5. Dhoom 2

Saif Ali Khan:
1. Parineeta
2. Dil Chahta Hai
3. Kal Ho Naa Ho
4. Hum Tum
5. Kurbaan

Jane thanks and glad you share your list.

For aamir, I have never seen earth. I have seen sarfarosh but forgot the story. I guess I should see both of these movies.

For salman, he was so good in kyon ki. That movie made me cry. Surprise that you didn't mention BB. Did you watched it?

Well yes akshay does so many movies. He has given a lot of really good performances. He is amazing in comedy. He should do more comedy films.

Omg I'll tell you this I don't like ajay at all offscreen but some of his performances are just amazing. You should watch zakhm, company, bhagat Singh etc. singham is really good too. And didn't he play mental patient in main Aisa hi hoon. He had a daughter too. Esha deol and Sushmita sen were in that movie?

The reason why I said Guzarish is underrated is because it was a flop but yeah that performance is appreciated,

I think Hrithik took a massive leap of faith with Guzaarish

I couldn't watch the whole film because I'm not too good with such serious subjects, but of what I did see, he really gave a from-the-heart performance 👏

@Saraa: I would definitely recommend Earth and Sarfarosh if you get time. Earth at the time of it's release was regarded as Aamir's career-best performance and I continue to hold that opinion. Sarfarosh, though a brilliant film, doesn't have much of a repeat value. But if you don't remember it then go ahead by all means :)

I haven't watched BB. You remember I told you I have no one to go with? And the theatre it was/is playing in is too far and remote to make the journey alone.

You know, I never realised how much I've liked Akshay's work till I had to list his top five. Comedy is his forte but I've loved him in his dramatic roles as well. He's pretty versatile that way.

I know Ajay has given some great performances and I have heard time and again about the movies you mentioned. But somehow never got down to watching any.
Yea you're right about Main Aisa Hi Hoon. Not a very impressive film but it's filled with great performances and Ajay gave a very poignant and understated one. It's very easy to go OTT with such characters.

About Guzaarish, I am not surprised it flopped tbh. It's heavy, slow and overall boring. But I like the way it handled the issues of euthanasia and quadriplegia, both very sensitive subjects. And I think it struck a good balance in the debates surrounding euthanasia at the time (even today to an extent since only passive euthanasia has been made legal since). However, even the negative reviews heaped praises on Hrithik and the most critical I read pretty much disses everything except him (it actually called him the saving grace of the movie and the only reason to watch it). So I feel his performance got the exposure it deserved even if the movie itself wasn't really watched by many.

Yeah I would watch both earth and sarfarosh. Sonali Bendre was in sarfarosh right? I'll watch it for sure.

Ohh yeah I remember. But whenever you get time, do watch it. Because it is amazing. It's among the best movies I have seen. Salman acted really well. His chemistry with Harshali (little girl) is amazing. It's a beautiful movie

I love akki but I badly want him to do something like Singh is king, welcome or here pheri. He is just so good in comedy movies. His comedy movies are entertaining. Actually he makes them entertaining. I even loved him in crapfest like houseful

See zakhm, company are not entertaining movies. I just watch both of them once because they don't have high repeat value. But ajay was so freaking good. You should watch company, zakhm, and bhagat Singh biopic.

Yeah it was boring but I like hr and aish acting in it esp Hrithik. He was really good. He made me cry. That's his best along with Koi mil Gaya

Yup, she was. 'Jo Haal Dil Ka' was such a rage!

I know, right, about BB? I've heard amazing stuff about it. I am sure it's going to come on TV soon, I'll watch it there.

Haha, yea I agree with you. Akki is too good in comedy!

And I never really thought of watching these Ajay-films but since you're recommending so strongly, I'll definitely keep them in mind :)

Guzaarish wasn't lacking in the acting department, you're bang on about that. HR was the star but I liked Aish's, ARK's and others' performances as well.
If toughness of the role is not a factor, I still consider KMG as HR's career-best with Guzaarish coming a close second.

Kmg is an entertaining movie. It has a repeat value. I liked it a lot. Just think I feel that tere naam and kal ho na ho were better in terms of performance. That year had some tough competition

I love akki the most in comedy. Although I believe salman is really good in comedy as well and so is aamir but I think akki has little edge here,

I do agree Guzarish is quite boring. It's also really sad. Omg I cried so much while watching that movie 😭

Overall performances I agree were better in Tere Naam and KHNH. In KMG, the only really impressive ones were HR and Rekha. Preity was pretty forgettable in this movie whereas I truly feel she was born to play Naina in KHNH.

Aamir needs to draw on his acting prowess in comedy. Salman has a great comic timing if he is required to be humorous in a normal drama but in an out-and-out comedy movie, he too needs the same. Akki, on the other hand, is a natural. That does make a difference in this genre.

Yea, Guzaarish was pretty sad. Ethan's struggle with his condition was very powerfully depicted.
