actually the record is extinct now no films even run into 8 weeks left alone 11 weeks

Kaho naa pyar hai was a phenomenon. It was released a week after Phir bhi dil hai hindustani and a week before Maann 2 films of 2 biggest superstars yet this film with a newcomer smashed both this films and became the highest grosser of the year 👏

The problem is with the era...not with the films.

Back in early 2000's and before that Box Office race was more like a marathon rather than a sprint... Films used to run in theatres for many months and there used to be 100 days 200 days celebration...

Ab toh film 2 hafton tak chal jaye wohi bohut hai.

Almost 70% business of khan films usually comes from the first week itself.
