CHAPTER EIGHTY FOUR
When her hand touched his she realized that this was a man she didn't want to be near or even close to. The feeling she got when she shook his hand was of disgust and filth just like she felt in that building and it was a feeling she hated because it always gave her panic attacks especially when in public. He took his glasses off and leaned in and kissed her hand before he looked at her and said
'Nice to meet you... And I have to say. These genes are most definitely not your father's. You're very beautiful...'' he said smiling at her
She took her hand back and slightly stepped back before she excused herself asking Tushar to show her where the ladies room and she walked away. She knew what that feeling was; in fact she was sure of it. It was him, those eyes she wouldn't forget. It was him. She needed to find Raman. The man in that building with those eyes was here...
Ishita felt like she was hyperventilating almost as if she had been running a marathon and yet all she was just doing is walk upstairs. She made her way to the bathroom and begun to panic. She looked in her purse and remembered she had left her phone in the car and she begun having panic attacks, she felt like she couldn't breathe.
She had someone come to the door and panicked thinking it was him and thus tried to walk to the door and lock it but she couldn't make it in time. A lady walked in and closing the door but didn't lock it.
There as a sigh of relief from Ishita's side because she was a bit relieved that it was not that monster and thus it gave her more time to compose herself and walk out of that house. When the woman who had a veil on her head finally removed it, Ishita recognized her immediately
'Shagun... What the hell...'' she tried to yell but Shagun grabbed her mouth
'Shhhsss quiet... Don't panic it will create a scene. Just calm down ...'' Said Shagun and Ishita reluctantly agreed
'What do you think you're doing? You have some...'' Ishita tried to talk but again Shagun interrupted
'I don't have time for this. You will scream at me some other day right now we have bigger problems...'' Said Shagun grabbing Ishita's attention
'What do you mean...'' asked Ishita
'That man... The one you were just greeting a few minutes back happens to be the same man who pretty much financed your kidnapping. He also happens to be Shlok and Suraj's father. Believe me , you, Raman and the kids need to get the hell away from here and go away for some time...'' Said Shagun
'I am not understanding... What do you mean financed...'' said a confused Ishita
'Ishita... Listen to me... I don't have time to talk... Walk out of here grab you man's hand and your kids and get the hell out of this place... Please...'' said Shagun as she peeped out to see if anyone was coming
'NO... You need to tell me exactly what it is you're talking about. Why would I believe you? For all I know this would be some other thing or ploy you're trying to do...'' Said Ishita but even Shagun could see she was visibly shaken
'Look given the look on your face when you saw him I guess that memory lapse you have been having is slowly coming back and you recognize him. He bailed me out and wanted to use me to get to you and the kids in order to take revenge from you all. Also he is convinced that you all know where his son is. I played him and once he found out that I wasn't going to do it, he pretty much has been trying to kill me ever since...'' Said Shagun looking straight to Ishita but Ishita didn't reply
'Look you can believe me or not but at least consider the possibility. Just go to safety you will check out my story later on...'' Shagun added
'Do you have a phone... Let me call Raman...'' Said Ishita
'He won't pick, I have been trying to do that for the last couple of hours.'' Said Shaun as she handed Ishita the mobile phone
'It is fine I will text... He will know it is me...'' Said Ishita
As she took the phone and began her messaging, someone again opened the door and this time none of them would hide anymore. The girl who was with Mr. Khanna was standing in the door way and when she saw them she turned her head signaling someone to come over.
Ishita and Shagun out of fear pushed her out of the door and ran across the hallway to a bedroom that was at the corner of the floor. Shagun was terrified and so was Ishita and they knew that if he came in he would do anything he wanted. The music had begun to play and it was really loud so chances were high if they screamed, no one would hear them. Ishita began to think of ways that they could get out of this mess but Shagun was in panic overdrive and she had stopped thinking
'Ishita listen... I know he is going to kill us so please I have a few things I need to tell you. Please...'' she began to talk but Ishita wouldn't let her
'Shut up... I do not want to hear it. I need to think and get a way out of this place...'' Ishita said
As Ishita looked around for something they could use in case he came in,Shagun began to call Raman's number but every time she did he just hand up and made his phone busy.
''Please Raman Pick up...'' She said as she tried again and again
After a minute of two the key in the door knob turned and in he came and Ishita with all the worries of the world knew that this was it. He walked in with that locked the door before he turned to look at her and said
'Come on... Did you really think I didn't come prepared? I have been planning this for a month. Please give me some credit...'' He said with a smug look on his face
'Leave her alone... I will take you to Shlok... I got to find out where they are keeping him...'' Said Shagun as she came forward and stood in front of Ishita but Mr. Khanna just pushed her aside walking to Ishita as he said
'You know... You and I meeting again was destiny. You can imagine my elation when I found out you had some gaps in your memory... I knew when your father and husband didn't come picking me up that you didn't quite remember what happened that day in that building...'' Said Mr. Khanna as he removed the gun from his pocket that had a silencer and sat down across from where Ishita was standing
'You need to leave before Raman gets here. I called him already and he will be here any minute...'' Said Ishita stammering
'You see... You're a bad liar... Horrible in fact... Your husband thinks you're with Ishana and well Ishana is... so let's just say... she won't be hampering my plans...'' Said Mr. Khanna
'What the hell did you do?'' screamed Ishita
'Arrrhhh...'' he screamed with her before he laughed saying
'You see this house is too big and that music is too loud and you are at the other end of the house... Remember...'' she said
'Please leave me alone... What do you want from me... Please...'' Said Ishita as she began to tear up

'Mr. Khanna Please...'' Shagun said almost as if she was asking him to just shut it

'Bitch steals from me, I forgive her, bail her out and she steals again in a bid to help you. Hahahaha she somehow thinks this is her redemption. Daman idiot... That ought to teach her to never double cross me again.'' He said before he turned to Ishita and said
'By the way, she still has the hots for your husband. You really shouldn't be so friendly, nave and gullible...'' he said but Ishita was too terrified to speak because this was a scene that was all too familiar.
'Now where was I? Oh yes...You see your husband and I have had problems for a very long time. You see my idiot of a son, Shlok was in charge of my businesses here and I was handling my abroad upcoming ones. I wanted to venture out and be a big business man and it had always been my dream. But you see, Shlok goes and falls in love with this demon...'' he said pointing at Shagun who was still unconscious
'Now I actually had no problem with her after all, my son was happy. But what no one told me was how her crazy husband would get when he found out. To cut this very long story short... He screwed me over... Brought my businesses to the ground and f**ked me over. You see in one of the deals that he used to buy my company... He blackmailed by junkie of a son Suraj and ended up having it for 3 times less the price it was worth, then dismantled it such that no one remembered Shlok, well in this instance it is technically me...'' he said as he came forward grabbing Ishita by the head as he pulled her up to the bed
'I Akash Khanna become a common middle class man... Me... With all the power I had I had to watch from a far while it got taken away from me little by little and he had to pay. So cue Shagun and all her hatred and jealousy which weren't that hard to manipulate except he fought tooth and nail. We had to put a stop to it so... We threatened to take his kids away and he sort of simmered down. So me, I did the same and let sleeping dogs lay. But then he goes and takes my son Suraj to jail and the whole thing begins again. You see my children with all their flaws and faults are still my kids...'' He said
'Wow...Now I know where they get their manners from...'' Said Ishita as she put her hands behind and hit redials calling Raman's number again
Mr. Khanna walked over to where she was and put a gun on her head
'Don't insult me... I don't like it very much when people insult me...And my kids... I protect them with everything in me'' He said
There are not kids... They are grown men with ill manners and dark hearts and I can see all thanks to you...'' She ended up saying and he in anger slapped her
'Shut it... You're in no position to throw senile comments right now. Plus you see I lost a lot of money when Suraj went to jail, it is only fair that I collect...'' he said
'Wait this was all about money all along...'' she said
'Of course... Always has been... He screwed over my business when Suraj went to jail... I didn't appreciate it...'' he said
Ishita tried to back track and remember how all this was connected and it didn't take long to put two and two together. It was made sense now, Mr. Khanna, Suraj, Tarish, Shlok it made perfect sense now.
'Wait... It was you all along that Suraj traded drugs for... It was you all along...'' She said after hitting that realization
'Good... You catch on easy...'' He replied
She sat back and remembered the nightmares Ruhi used to have even after Suraj was caught
'Ishima please tell Aditya to come back. He did something wrong and I apologize on his behalf just please bring him back. He will take him away like he did the others. Please Ishima''
It absolutely made perfect, in fact it was a more probable reason as to how Tarish came to get in touch with Mr. Khanna. He was trafficking drugs and he was using kids as mules. It actually made for perfect business because no one would suspect that they even knew each other. I mean it was brilliant
'Oh My God you were working with Tarish all along...'' Said a surprised Ishita
'Well yeah... I was actually surprised it took you long to figure that one out. Shlok the poor boy had absolutely no idea what I and Suraj actually were doing. I don't know how he thought we got all that money from that stupid as company. It was just a front for money laundering...'' he said smiling
'How could you leave with yourself? That son of a bitch uses kids as mules? What if that was your child that they would stuff with drugs...'' she screamed
'Well I protect my children and I am not as careless as most parents. Blame them not me and as for using kids, they are very cheap labor because they are innocent and free of charge as well...'' he added before walked to Shagun who was slowly getting up and smacked her across the face again just so she could go to sleep
'You can imagine my surprised when he talked about this girl he knew back in Lucknow. He used tell me about his hate for you and how he would one day take his revenge. Then Shagun walks in with this plan that she had with Shlok and they were looking for someone to use as bait for Simmi. She wanted to teach you a lesson and she was levied with you over some bullshit I can barely remember... Then in came Parmeet. Barger would do anything for money and we paid him extra to make sure Shagun never really found out a thing. Anyway Shagun had to come with a picture of Simmi such that he knew who he was to work with. The day she brought that picture, it had all of you in it and when he set his eyes on you they almost popped out and our plan was born that day. Their plan was to break you and Raman up, ours was to sell you off and see Raman cry while we do it... You see you're famous in the underground world... The girl who took down Ms. Tee... You were a legend...'' He added
She knew as he told her about what transpired she would use this opportunity to try and call Raman with the Phone that she still had in her hands. All she had to do was bait him a little more and he would gladly talk because he was a narcissistic human being who loved nothing but himself more than anything.
'You just let your son rot in jail... You could have helped. Did it occur to you that this would bite you in the ass...'' Said Ishita but Mr. Khanna just laughed and turned to look at her and that is when he saw it
He walked over to where she was grabbing the phone that was in her arms and smashing it across her room before he smacked her across the face
'Just don't annoy me and everything will be fine you see...'' He said before he grabbed his phone calling some one
'What the hell is taking so long...'' he said through his phone
'Well make it snappy your taking way too much time...'' he added before he turned to her and said
'Anyway... Enough jibber jabbers... I want your husband to tell me where the hell he has kept my son Shlok or better yet... You are going to tell me. Do not give me the whole I doesn't know speech and he didn't tell me speech like you gave Shagun, I won't buy it...And I will blow your brains out'' He said staring at her
'He won't tell you... I know he won't... I won't let him... You all need to be locked up or better yet put in an asylum because you are all crazy...'' She said as she tried to pull away
He grabbed her and pushed her to the bed again causing her to hit her head on the headboard and she arched back pushing him back with everything she had
'You are feisty... I like that... Tarish was right, you are a fighter. You know we were supposed to sell you off but that damn idiot stabbed me in the back...The fool wanted to save his cancerous mother. Then that Abhimanyu spoilt everything. You ...'' Said Mr. Khanna as he grabbed her hand and dragged her to the floor as she repeatedly fought back
Ishita listened to him talk and she began to have flash backs one by one of what happened that night and in a slit second or two, it was like she never even forget in the first place... Everything was clear as day and it gave her more reason to fight him.
'I am going to blow your brains out but before that... I will make sure that he watches me do it and I will also find my son, I always do... So my sweet darling...'' he said as he leaned putting the gun on her head again.
What did you say...'' Asked Ishita as she came out of her stance
'Oh I am going to blow your brains out. It is what I meant to say...'' he said as he smiled at her with this smug expression
Ishita had a lot of things going on in her mind and in that moment all she could think about is what she would lose if she didn't fight back. She wasn't going to let him instill fear in her and take advantage of her. She looked at him and arched her head forward head butting him before she grabbed the jug that was by the bed and hit him with it making him unconscious.
She ran to the door and tried to open it but she realized that the lock had somehow jammed and it wouldn't open. Shagun who was just coming back to consciousness heard her scream and came to help and together they began to bang on the door as they screamed for help

Meanwhile Raman was having a good time and he was enjoying this time as he had meet many associates that he had taken long without seeing. This event turned out to be fun than he anticipated and had rekindled old friendships when he began to have a bad feeling all of a sudden.
He turned and walked over to Romi and Romi could see something was off
'Raman... Is everything alright...'' he asked
'Yeah... Have you seen the kids...'' Raman asked
'Yes, they are with the Khans and Papa and Mama out back... Why...'' Said Romi
'I am not so sure yet. I have this really bad feeling I just can seem to shake off'' Said Raman
'Come on you need to learn how to relax. Everything is fine...'' Said Romi
'Maybe... Still where is Ishita...'' He asked
'She is with Ishana. She has been showing her around.'' Said Romi to which Raman excused himself walked back inside to the living room
He looked around and she could see Mrs. Khan, Rajeev and Tushar but Ishita was nowhere to be found. He walked over to where Tushar was standing and asked her
'Hey... Could you, by any chance, know Ishita's where about''
'She went to the bathroom upstairs although it has been a while since she left.'' Said Rajeev who could see Raman was slightly worried
'What is it...'' he added
'I am not sure but if she was leaving she would have told me. I haven't seen her for a while...'' he said looking around some more and then he heard it
'Do you hear that...'' Raman asked
'Hear what...'' Asked Ishana
'That sound... It is...'' he said as he mover close to the stairs before he turned back and told Rajeev
'You need to ask him to take off that music...''
'I will do it...'' said Tushar before he walked to where the DJ was
The music went off and there were small mummers in the room when it did but then the bang on the door become more imminent and this time everyone heard it. It took a second or two for Raman to completely process what was happening and when he heard Ishita scream his name, he knew she was in trouble
'Raman... Help... Somebody... Help...''
Ishita and Shagun were still bang going on the door trying to get anyone who would help but to no avail. Shagun who had a wounded hand was beginning to get tired and she took a step back just to catch her breath.
Ishita could see that she was losing a lot of blood and she needed help. She continued banging on the door as hard as she could with the hope that she would un-jam the door. Mr. Khan was slowly gaining his consciousness and Ishita could do see that. She took a step back and ran into the door hurting her shoulder in the process but it finally un-jammed.
The door went wide open and when she turned to take Shagun, Mr. Khanna grabbed Shagun's leg and Ishita couldn't pull her out
'Go... Ishita go get help...'' Screamed Shagun as she tried to kick Mr. Khanna away from her
Raman who had heard the screams had made his way upstarts and when he got into the hallway, he could see Ishita running towards him. She was terrified as she made her way to him and Raman stood holding his breath almost as if he worried it was his imagination.
She ran and put her arms around him and he held her back sighing with relief that she was actually here and she was okay.
'Ishita what happened...'' Asked Raman
'He is in there, he is here, and he has Shagun... ' Said Ishita terrified
'Who has Shagun...'' Said Raman perplexed but he could see that Ishita was too distraught to even answer and she needed to catch a breath
Raman knew it had to take a lot for her to be this scared and knew he needed to go and check what was going on. He got out of her embrace and made a step towards the room but Ishita wouldn't let him
'Please... Please don't go in there... Please...'' She cried
'Ishita it is fine...Let me go check. ' He said as he signaled Tushar to come and take hold of Ishita and Tushar followed suit.
Rajeev's wife and Simmi knew this party was to come to an end but also they didn't want anyone to disappear before they got to the bottom of this matter so they encouraged the guests to remain in the living room while they swiftly looked the door such that no one was going in or out of that place, Tushar was given the task of ensuring it stayed that way.
Raman, Rajeev and Romi walked a head to go to the room and see what was happening. When they walked in Mr. Khanna was lying on the ground holding his man parts while Shagun was running making her way out she almost bumped into Raman.
'What the hell is going on...'' Said Romi as he watched Mr. Khanna cry in agony
'It is him... He wanted to take Ishita... It is him Raman... Please someone check on the kids, the other woman he came with, you all need to find her...'' Said Shagun as she began to cry
'Calm down and tell me... What is happening? What are you doing here and why does he want my wife...'' Said Raman
'It was him... The man in the building with Tarish... It was him... I heard him tell Ishita about it. It was him...'' Said Shagun before she stumbled to the floor wincing in pain
Raman turned and looked at Mr. Khanna and it took a minute before he finally remembered him. He was Shlok and Suraj's father and it meant that all this that happened actually had nothing to do with Ishita's past but rather his.
Rajeev was way too pissed off to begin to assess what the hell was happening or even begin to reason logically what was happening. As Mr. Khanna slowly sat down still a bit in pain from all the kicking that Shagun had done,
'Smack... Smack...'' he suddenly felt a sensation on his face as the pain of Rajeev's slap began to be felt. There was a tingling sound in his ears and he was feeling a bit daze thus taking a few second to register that someone had slapped him.
He took the gun that he was still holding in his hands and pointed it at Rajeev saying
'Come any closer and I will shot...''
Raman was a bit taken a back and so was Romi but Rajeev as so angry and so regretful that all the fear that he should have been having in that moment was instead filled with adrenaline rush that what he did next no one was expecting.
In a second he grabbed the gun that Mr. Khanna was having and pointed it at him saying
'You have the nerve to show up in my house and threaten my daughter... The audacity... Do you know what happens to people who disrespect me or my family?''
Mr. Khanna looked at Rajeev and he had to say that the quiet dimmer of the businessman that he knew and took advantage of was actually gone. But he also knew that there was no way Rajeev would ever pull that trigger because he didn't have it in him or so he thought.
'You don't have it in you. You will just threaten but won't do anything... Your daughter is such a bitch anyway... I was just doing the world a favor...'' Said Mr. Khanna
Rajeev upon hearing him talk about his daughter like that brought out the worst in him and made him very angry in more ways than he even thought he knew. He turned the gun to Mr. Khanna and turned the hammer of the revolver gun before he pulled the trigger shooting him in the leg
'Ahhh... Are you crazy...'' Said Mr. Khanna as he cried in pain
Rajeev walked to where Mr. Khanna was and placed the gun to his head saying
'No one talks about my daughter like that. You want to know what I can do... Let me show you what I can do...'' He said as he pulled the hammer again
Raman, Romi and Shagun who were watching this were all having different expressions on their faces. Shagun was now officially sacred with anything that was Ishita related because this was proof enough that her family was all crazy people even if they cared about her.
Romi and Raman just kept on hoping that that bullet actually hit him head or heart because this was a chapter that was supposed to end. No one deserved that kind of trauma especially a warm and wonderful person like Ishita
'Romi...'' Raman called
'Go make sure the kids are okay and call the police while you're at it...'' he said to which Romi angrily stared at Mr. Khanna one more time before he walked away
Raman who was still standing at the door all this while finally walked inside and turned to look at Shagun
'Ram... Raman what are you thinking of doing? This is wrong...'' She cried but he instead stared at her and said
'Go... Look for some medical care... Go down stairs and wait there...'' he said before pulling the door and locking it from the inside
Rajeev was just standing there with the gun in his hand fighting everything in his body not to pull that trigger. He remembered how he found his daughter and what she must have gone through because of this man and become levied.
'Give me one very good reason why I shouldn't blow your brains out right now...'' Said Rajeev
'Because that will be a punishment too easy...'' Said Raman as he walked over to where they were and folding his hand in a fist before he brought it across the face of Mr. Khanna using all the anger and energy he had
Mr. Khanna fell backwards his head hitting the side of the bed. He became a bit disoriented but before he could even begin to process what was happening Rajeev picked him up and begun punching him as well.
They began hitting him as they took turns in releasing all the rage they had, Rajeev was so angry because he could have killed his daughter before he ever got the chance to meet him and Raman, every time he remembered the tears Ishita cried that night, the nightmares, the panic attacks he become angrier and angrier and hit him even more.
He grabbed a seat that was in the corner of the room and begun looking around for something. Mr. Khanna was so beaten he couldn't even understand where he was or what he was even doing here in the first place. Rajeev turned and looked at Raman who was checking the draws
'What are you looking for...'' he asked
'Rope or anything close to it...'' Raman answered Rajeev
'Here... I think I have something...'' Said Rajeev as he walked into the wardrobe pulling out a box of brand new ties
'Can this work...'' he asked
'Yeah...'' Sad Raman and he grabbed then and walked over to Mr. Khanna who was now unconscious and pulled him to the chair tying him up
Meanwhile Ishita who had now been taken down stairs to the guest room was still a bit shaken and Shagun was also in a another room where Sarika was helping out with her wound and also keeping an eye on her until the police came. Romi had managed to get a hold of Ruhi and Aditya and he had given them to Mrs. Khan, Rajeev's mother and also Santosh.
Aditya also knew when things were not okay and he knew in that moment seeing how worried everyone was that something was seriously off. He also knew that no one was going to tell him anything and he respected that but he had to know. They walked them outside into the pool house locking the door as Romi said
'Do not come out unless I come back for you...''
'Romi Uncle...'' Called Aditya causing Romi to turn and look at him
'I know you won't tell me what is going on but I just need to know...'' Said Aditya but before he could finish a very worried Ruhi interrupted saying
'Is Ishima okay...'' Romi who knew they were worried didn't want to disturb them and didn't want to worry them any further figured he should tell them at least that much
'Your Ishima is fine, I promise you she is okay...'' he said
'And Shagun Mom...'' Said Aditya who knew his mother was involved in this some how
'She is fine too... How did you...'' Romi almost asked but Santosh said
Go... You will talk later...'' and with that Romi walked out
He went to where Sarika was relieving her from the guests she was looking after and asked her to go check on Shagun and she obeyed. He joined the security guards that were standing at all entrances and talked to them before he headed to the front of the room to address the guests that were getting agitated.
Meanwhile Sarika took care of Shagun's wound and bandaged up her wound to try and reduce the bleeding that was increasing
'I need to go to the hospital... Please...'' Shagun said
'Oh shut up... This is just a flesh wound you will be fine... Plus I don't think you're in a position to ask for anything...'' Said Sarika who was visibly irritated
'Wha... Sarika ...'' Said Shagun who was a bit shocked by this reaction but Sarika was just way too irritated to say anything
Simmi walked in and stood at the door staring at Shagun like she was about to strangle her
'Is Ishita okay...'' Shagun asked genuinely concerned
'Why so you can finish the job...'' asked Simmi
'Wha... Simmi please, I just...'' Shagun tried to explain herself but Simmi wasn't having it
'What... You see women like you just piss me off. I am not the best human being I know that. I am probably more spoilt than you are but God I would never go as far as you did. Did it ever occur to you that they would have killed her? '' Said Simmi as Sarikagrabbed the first aid kit putting it away
'I am not proud of what I did but I never wanted to kill her... I wasn't aware...'' Shagun tried to defend herself
'What did you think they would do to her? Please it doesn't matter how much you try and justify this because you want to feel good about yourself, you screwed up because you wanted back a man who you left for a psychopath. Just admit it... Have the guts to admit that and be woman enough about it...'' Said Sarika yelling
'Yes... I wanted him back but not at the expense of anyone's life. When I came back to India after leaving Dubai I saw a very different Raman. He was still short tempered and impulsive but he was loving and understanding and caring. When I found out he had remarried I become jealous because I never thought he would ever replace me. Shagun knew whatever Simmi was saying was true. She wasn't patient with Raman; she wanted a quick fix to her problems and got lured by what Shlok could offer. But that didn't mean she never loved Raman and when she saw how he treated Ishita and how he took care of her, loved her, blindly trusted her, she saw what she lost and wanted it back
'You know what is sad about all this is the fact that you don't even see you lost your kids in this selfish desire of yours. Ishita has been everything you never have been for your kids and Raman. You should be thanking her because I highly doubt you would have been as loving and caring as that woman had the tables changed. Back in the room they had taken Ishita in, Tushar was trying to keep her under control but she was visibly shaken and she knew it. Rajeev's wife walked in and sat next to her as she took Ishita's hands in hers and she could see Ishita was still shaking.
She slowly leaned in and took Ishita in her arms hugging her. She didn't know what to do or say to Ishita to make her feel better and the mother in her just figured hold her and make her feel safe and it worked. Ishita slowly came back from her stance and looked at her.
'Oh My God...'' She suddenly said as if remembering something
'what is it...'' Said Tushar
'You need to find Ishana, someone in there has Ishana. I think it is the lady he came with...'' Said Ishita
'What... What do you mean...'' Said Tushar
'I am not sure but it is something he said. She is still here but they have kept her somewhere. Go... You need to find her. Find that woman he came with she should know...'' Said Ishita and Tushar turned quickly running out of the room
Ishita turned to Rajeev's wife and said
'I am so sorry... All this is happening because of me...'' She said as tears begun to flow again
'No silly... This isn't your fault. Let's just hope Ishana is okay...'' Said Rajeev's wife who did everything in her power to hide her worry but Ishita could see right through it
Tushar quickly made his way to the living room where the guest were being kept and began walking around as he looked for Mr. Khanna's date. He began walking around like a crazy person and Romi who was already inside could see something wasn't right.
'Hey Tushar what is it...'' Asked Romi
'We need to find that woman he was with. Bitch has my wife...'' Said Tushar
'Here come with me...'' Said Romi as he slowly lead Tushar away from the living room into the next room which was the kitchen
'I sensed something was a bit off with her as she was trying to agitate the guests and create a scene. So I asked the guards to hold her in here such that she didn't cause anymore commotion.'' Said Romi leading Tushar to her
Tushar walked straight to where she was and grabbed her by the throat saying
'I really do not have the patience like most men and I am most definitely not a gentleman to bitches I don't like. Now I am going to say this one time and I do not want to repeat myself. Tell me where you have hidden my wife...'' he barked
'I don't'...'' she tried to speak but he interrupted
'Before you get a beating of a lifetime you better tell me what I want to hear or so help me God... WHERE, THE HELL IS MY WIFE?'' He said his eyes blood shot red from all the rage
'In the store room down stairs... We looked her in the store room in the basement...'' She said terrified as she began to cry
Tushar let go of her as he ran out of the kitchen going down in the basement to pick his wife who had been tied down there with her lips taped.
Back in the room upstairs, Raman and Rajeev had tied up Mr. Khanna on one of the seats in the room while he had gone unconscious. Raman brought a bucket of water and poured it on Mr. Khanna waking him up again.
'You see I have a few questions that I need for you to answer...'' Said Raman in a very calm demeanor that was a bit scary given the situation
'What in God's name gave you the idea that I will answer...'' Mr. Khanna tried to say in a disrespectful way
'SMACK...'' Off went Raman's slap on his face
'Don't piss me off... I really don't have the patience for that... First question...Who did you intend on selling my wife to...'' he asked again calmly
'You really deluded if...'' Mr. Khanna tried to answer but again
'SMACK...SMACK...'' Off went Raman's slap on his face
'You see Mr. Khanna... Mr. Khan here is a good man, he knows right from wrong. He understands what lines not to cross but you see for me... When it comes to the protecting the people that I have... Those lines become a bit blurry... I can't seem to see straight what is right or wrong and when it comes to my wife... They cease to exist all together... You most definitely do not want to piss me off...'' Said Raman
Rajeev probably should have stopped Raman but he knew more than anyone how much this was needed. That chapter needed to come to an end, he just like Ishita needed closer from all this.
'Are you just going to let him do this...'' Said Mr. Khanna looking at Rajeev but
'SMACK... SMACK... SMACK...'' Off went Raman's slap on his face again
Mr. Khanna knew there was no way he was getting out of this. He had pissed them off so much that there was no way they were ever going to let him go anywhere

'It is so funny how you think you have bargaining power in this scenario...'' Said Rajeev as he sat back with a glass of water in his hand
'Let us try this again... Who were you intending on selling my wife to...'' Raman asked as he turned on his audio recorder which he wanted to give to the police
'Some drug dealer in Lucknow... He claimed her running away caused the police to raid this place and it screwed up his business. People in the drug business are not very forgiving when it comes to their money...'' Said Mr. Khanna

'He asked a question...'' Said Rajeev who knew that this whole interrogation was leading to that and all these other questions were just for affirmation for when the police came

'I ask again who of you raped my wife...'' Said Raman who was getting angry

'Tell me what happened in that building when the cameras went off...'' Said Raman
Raman pulled his seat back and sat him up and he could see he was slowly going unconscious again. He grabbed another bucket of water and poured on his face again
'I said tell me what happened in that building hen the cameras went off...'' Said Raman
'We had finalized the deal and we had to take her to the drop point where we were to hand her over. We took her hand cuffs off to transfer her and she began hitting my guards as she fought back. It was becoming a problem and so we got some drugs that we injected her. I think it was diazepam or heroine I don't remember.'' he answered pausing as he tried to catch his breath
Raman now understood that the memory loss that Ishita had may have been caused by these and it was more probable that these idiots injected her with heroine.
'What happened next...'' Said Raman
'Can I at least get some water...'' he said
'NO...What happened next...'' Said Raman
'Please I am really thirsty... I need water...'' Said Mr. Khanna
'NO... You get to feel how she felt in that room so the answer is NO... Now tell me what I want...'' Said Raman authoritatively bring an end to the water business and Mr. Khanna's effort to stall
'We took her from that place into another location where we were supposed to meet Sampa. When we got there Tarish received a call from his mother's doctor that she wasn't doing so well and was so adamant that she refused to go back to the hospital. He became inpatient and agitated. He called over the doctor to where we are and that is all it all went loss...'' Said Mr. Khanna
'Meaning what...'' Said Rajeev
'Tarish and his boys told me that the buyer had come and they walked me out but it was a ploy to get me away. He called his doctor who was supposed to get some sample from Ishita...'' he said as she paused catching his breath
'Sample of what...'' Said a curious Raman
'They wanted to see if she could miraculously be a match for Ms. Tee's kidney problems. It is so crazy I know but I mean it is Tarish, boy is so screwed up you can't even imagine how stupid he can get sometimes. When I got back inside he had thrown the poor woman on the floor and was trying to force her to stay still such that they could draw blood but she wasn't having it...'' Said Mr. Khanna
'That has to be the most absurd thing I have ever heard...'' Said Rajeev
'Yeah... I know I was as surprised as you are when I walked in on him ripping her dress open like some crazy person. I actually thought he was about to rape her until he told me of his crazy plan. She tried to run again I grabbed her hand and pulled her into me. Maybe with the trauma she had she thought I too was trying to rape her so she pushed me againand began acting hysterically. The fact that she was high on drugs didn't help either... So to calm her down I slapped her. That is when your brother kind of walked in and I ran away to hide as everything else fell apart...'' Said Mr. Khanna
Raman looked at him as if he was a bit skeptical not believing what he was saying because that story was too bizarre and out of this world to even make sense. Mr. Khanna who figured he had gotten enough beating for the day knew he had to convince Raman a little more just so he wouldn't get beat again
'Look I swear No one touched your wife. I am a lot of things some might even call me a monster but I am no rapist I would never allow that to happen on my watch...'' Said Mr. Khanna
Raman turned around because he didn't want to Mr. Khanna to see him that way. A lone tear streamed down his face as he sighed with relief that what he had feared for so long had finally not come to pass. He feared for his wife and he understood that as much as she was doing well for herself this is a chapter they had to close.
Rajeev was quick in understanding what had just happened and thanked God that this had finally come to an end. He tapped Raman's shoulder giving him a minute to calm down as he turned to Mr. Khanna and said
'Get up we are going down stairs...''
'Why...'' Said Mr. Khanna
'Because the police are here to take your sorry ass to jail and also I need to dismiss someone today...'' Said Rajeev as he walked to the door responding to the knock that had been going off for sometime
'The police are here...'' Said Sarika who had been sent to get them
Raman untied his legs and helped him stand up leaving his hands still tied p. They made their way downstairs to the police officers that were waiting for him. The lady he came with was also in cuffs and was being taken away.
'What happened to him?'' asked the policeman
'What do you mean?'' Said Raman
'Why does he look beaten up...'' Said he policeman
'OH...He tried to ran but instead fell down a flight of stairs. We chased him and tied him up so he wouldn't run again...'' Said Raman clearly lying through his teeth
'He doesn't' look like someone who just fell down?'' Said the policeman insisting
'I didn't fall down sir, they tortured me in there. These people are dangerous...'' Said Mr. Khanna
'Like he said... He fell... We chased him down and tied him up... That is what happened...'' Said Mr. Khanna
'And what about the gun wound...'' Said the policeman
'What gun wound? '' Said Rajeev
'That gun wound...'' asked the policeman
'Like they said... He fell... That chased him and tied him down. I am the one who shot him because he was trying to run away...'' Said the man who had just walked in
'Oh good evening sir...'' Said the policeman
'Take him to custody I will handle the rest...'' Said the man
'Can I ask something at least...'' Said Mr. Khanna as they hauled him away
'Tell me where he is... I need to know if he is okay...'' He added
'The Psychiatric Specialist Center Delhi...'' Said Raman with a smile on his face
'Good luck getting him out...'' added Rajeev before Mr. Khanna was finally taken away
'Do I want to know what that is all about?'' Asked the man
'No... I don't think so...'' answered Rajeev. The man looked at him shaking his head before he turned to Rajeev saying
'Anything else...''
'That will do for now thank you. We will talk later...'' He answered before walking out
'Who is that?'' asked a curious Raman
'Director General of Police...'' Said Rajeev before he smiled to Raman adding
'I am Rajeev Khan... Come on...'' As he walked out to go address the guests that were now agitated and wanted to leave

'I am Rajeev Khan... Come on...'' As he walked out to go address the guests that were now agitated and wanted to leave
Raman looked at him impressed and also grateful that he and Ishita had such people in his corner. He walked the other direction looking for his wife.
Rajeev made his way into the living room and he made his apologizes to everyone who had been inconvenienced because of the situation. He politely explained to them that there was an intruder who had come to harm his family and he had to make sure that he took care of that and also ensure that there was no other person working with them.
He apologized and thanked them for their patience and also their understanding before sending them away each with an expensive bottle of wine. Some guests left a still a bit bereaved that they had been treated this way but most of them understood because they had been in similar situation on way or the other. Some were just impressed that he had given them importance and humbled himself among them. They all slowly made their way out of the building one by one as they extended their sympathies about the whole thing wishing his family well.
The workers in his mansion and the security detail were all asked to stay behind by him and as the guests left, they all moved forward for the meeting Rajeev had asked for. Romi was quite impressed at how he handled the whole situation. He was really calm given how everything had worked out but if Romi had never seen Rajeev Khan in his element, he was about to find out
'I want the person in charge of vetting all the guests and sponsors of events before, during and after...'' Said Rajeev
'Head of Security...'' Said his head of staff
'So can you explain how this psychopath managed to make it to my event let alone be passed as a sponsor. I need you to think long and hard before you answer that question because it may make or break you.'' Said Rajeev
'Sir I figured since your C.E.O had vouched for him vetting wouldn't be necessary. He was the one who even picked the invitations...'' Said the head of security

The man was scared and it was clearly visible. There was a silence in the room one would hear a pin drop. Everyone was waiting to hear an answer and so was Romi whose attention was now got
'He threated my children; I didn't know what to do. He said he would kill my family'' Answered the man
'Why didn't come to me then...'' Said the head of security
'He said if I told anyone he would kill them. He had pictured of my children playing at school like he knew whatever we were doing.Whatwas I Supposed to do? ' Said the man as he began to break down
'Oh so you figured better that my child be killed?'' Said Rajeev
'I didn't know that she was your daughter Mr. Khan. You know I would never mean harm to your family.' he said
'How many years have you been working for me? And in those years is this the first time that this kind of thing is happening?' Rajeev asked
'Five years and No it isn't...'' Answered the C.E.O
'We have protocol that we follow when these things happen and you know it. Unless there is something you leaving out and not telling me'' Asked Rajeev still calm which scared every one
'NO... I mean... Please I am sorry... ' He answered knowing that this was not going to end well
'Look I understand what you might have been going through a lot but this is my family and that is something I don't take lightly. Loyalty is something I don't take lightly...'' Said Rajeev
'I know sir... I understand...'' Said C.E.O
'I need not say more ... You have 1 week to put your things in order...? Said Rajeev and with that the C.E.O turned to his heels and left
'Now back to you. The level of negligence you depicted I should sue your sorry ass and haul it to jail.'' Said Rajeev his demeanor changing
'What Sir... I only did what I was told...'' Said the Head of Security
'I pay you... It is me you're paid to protect. My C.E.Os and other staff have their own security details. Your job is to make sure everything about me and my family is safe. That C.E.O doesn't pay your salary, I DO. Those were my daughters in there... They would have been really hurt or even worse...'' Yelled Rajeev causing the man to stand back understanding his mistake
'I am so sorry Sir... I didn't...'' He tried to speak but nothing was being heard
'Well sorry is not good enough. You're fired... Go check in with the Tushar and hand in all company property. Oh and I am not paying you a single cent...'' He yelled again but the man just kept looking at him as if in shock of what was going on and couldn't believe that he had been dismissed
'I said get the hell out of my house...'' Rajeev yelled again and this is when his wife and mother came forward to try and calm him down
'It is fine just calm down... She is okay...'' Said his wife taking his hand
'Okay I think you all need to leave...'' Said Rajeev's mother but everyone just kept staring at her
'If you all want to keep your jobs, I suggest you leave right now... We shall handle this when we get to back to office...'' She added causing everyone to disperse and walk away
Romi stood there in a bit of shock not believing what had just transpired. These were two people who were not just measly employees in his companies. He could see when his wife took his hand and walked him away that in that split second, this had nothing to do with anybody's competence but rather he was scared that these idiots could have harmed both in children very badly
Meanwhile back with Raman, he made his way to the room they were keeping Ishita and when he walked in he could see her sitting on the bed still worried as one of the maids was giving her water. She was a bit shaken up but she seemed okay. She had a black eye probably from being slapped but when she turned to him with that worried look in her eyes hit like a hurricane everything came tumbling back and he broke down
Ishita turned to the maid and asked her to leave before she got off the bed and walked over to where Raman was standing but he couldn't look at her. She slowly put her hands around him and said
'I am okay... Raman I am here and I am okay...''
He pulled her into him hugging her as tight as he could as tears helplessly streamed down his face and he had no care in the world that he was that weak in front of her. He didn't have it in him to be strong anymore and she knew it too. He kept on pulling her in with every memory that kept playing in his mind like a broken tape of her face when she came running into his arms from that room. She looked so scared and it made him mad for not having known that the fact that Shagun was here meant something was off.
'Oh God what if I had lost you... I couldn't live with myself if anything happened to you...'' he said his voice breaking
'I am fine Raman I swear... It is okay...'' she said as she began to cry that he was going through all this because of her
They stayed in each other's embrace for some time before he finally managed to compose himself and pull out for her hug.
'You're sure you're okay'' he asked to which she nodded indicating yes
He came close his hands holding her face as he slowly played his soft lips on hers tasting the tears that had streamed down her face down to her upper lip.
'He won't hurt you anymore I promise you. This is a chapter that has come to an end. ' he said
'I know...'' she answered as she looked up at him saying
'I remember everything... That night in the building... I remember...He never raped me... I was so worried that he did but he didn't... He didn't Raman'' She said as tears filled her eyes
'I know... ' He said pulling her in for another hug
'Wait... How...'' she asked as she pulled back again
'I made him tell me. And I wanted to kill him with my bare hands when he told me what they did to you. Demons like him don't deserve the gift of life. But I had that voice of reason... you... telling me not to...'' he said
'Good... I am glad you didn't. I have lost a lot because of him and I wouldn't have forgiven myself if I lost you too in the process.'' She said hugging him again
Raman for the first time since the whole crazy ordeal began, he finally sighed a deep breath of relief that she was okay and here in his arms like it should have been all along. Although he was a bit worried about her state of mind
'Hey... You're sure you're okay...'' he asked and Ishita could hear the worry in his voice
She looked up at him and took his hand placed it on her heart looking in his eyes as she said
'Raman... I swear I am absolutely okay... Really, okay...'' She said and he knew
He understood that she was in fact okay and not just for today but for every sense of the word she was okay.
Aditya and Ruhi made their way into the room as they ran into the waiting arms of Ishita who had noticed them when the door flung open. Ruhi who was in tears ran in fast with Aditya not far behind
'Ishima... Ishima are you okay...'' She said as she hugged her mom
'Mom, are you fine... Is everything okay...'' Added Aditya
'Arre I am okay... No need to worry... I am absolutely fine...'' she said hugging them back
'I thought they had taken you again. I really thought...'' Said Ruhi between her sobs
'Shhsss It is okay sweetheart... I am still here...'' Answered Ishita as tears filled her eyes
'Did Shagun mom do this? She did this didn't she...'' Said Aditya getting more upset
'No... She didn't... She tried to save me...'' Said Ishita
'Ishita Why...'' Raman tried to talk but Ishita stopped him

'I thought she was released?'' said Aditya
'Well she was but she violated her probation so they will take her back to serve her remaining sentence...'' Said Raman and Aditya who was now a bit grown understood what his dad was saying
'Can we go see her...'' Asked Aditya looking at Raman before he turned to Ishita looking at her as well
'Yes of course... Raman can you please ...'' Said Ishita
'Yeah no problem...'' He answered
'But I want to go with you as well...'' Said Aditya to which Ruhi said
'Haan... Please Ishima...''
Ishita looked at Raman knowing he was not liking this one bit but she also understood that they needed to do this.
'Sure why not... Just wait outside a few minutes let me talk to papa for a few minutes okay...'' Said Ishita
'Okay...'' they both answered before walking out
'What the hell is the matter with you? That woman doesn't even...'' Said Raman but Ishita interrupted
'Look. Will you just calm down... Those children shouldn't be made to choose whom to hate and love. She is still their mother no matter how hard that is for you it won't change. If they want to go see her let me. Don't feel their hearts with all this hate it won't be good. You really think I like Shagun? No... But I understand their need to come to terms with this in their own way. Let them make that decision themselves...'' Said Ishita as she took Raman's hand in hers
He looked at her shaking his head not believing that she was being this understanding. Any other person, hell even some women would have taken this opportunity and used this to feel those kids with so much venom but not his Ishita. She really was a gem
'I don't even know how the hell I managed to get you to be mine but I am glad I did. I get what you're saying and I understand where you're coming from. I am just so surprised that you're taking this so calmly. Why aren't you angry at her? How come you don't want to just do something to just make her... I don't know.. No one is that forgiving Ishu...'' he said causing her to smile
'What...'' he said
'You don't call me Ishu a lot so when you do... It sounds kind of nice...'' She said chuckling a bit
'What... ' He said as he let out a soft laugh
'Look no one is saying I forgive her. I don't even know if ever will but right now I have to worry about my kids. I know they need their closer as much as I needed mine. So ... ' she said
He looked at her and smiled loving it every time she acknowledged his children as hers. It always reminded him of how she had completely accepted him and everything about him. He pulled her in as he said

'And I love you too...'' she answered smiling before she placed a soft week kiss on his cheek
They finally made their way out of that room escorting Ruhi and Aditya to Shagun who was now in the living room awaiting the police who were to take her back to custody.
'Shagun mama...'' Ruhi called out causing Shagun to turn and look at her
'Ruhi... Adi ...'' Said Shagun as she moved forward hugging Ruhi
'Hey... How have you been? I haven't seen you both in so long?'' She added
'We are fine...How is your hand?'' asked Ruhi
'It is fine... It just hurts a little bit...'' She answered looking up as she saw Aditya standing a few steps away

'Good...'' He answered and just stayed standing looking at him she took Ruhi and made her standing front of Aditya and said

Shagun had never seen her son that angry at her and reality was finally hitting her, this was a relationship was wasn't going to med easily with the usually emotional black mail
'I know she was a better mom than me and I am grateful for that'' she answered
'No Shagun mama, it not that she was... She actually is...''Said Ruhi
Raman smiled his heart bursting with pride as his children pretty much showed Shagun her place in their lives. Shagun just looked at Ruhi taking it to heart knowing she probably deserved that and she was going to have to do a lot to gain back her children's trust
'Look I know... And I will forever be grateful to her. But I just want you all to give me a chance to be the mother you need. I am so sorry for everything...'' Said Shagun
'I forgive you Shagun Mama but Ishima will always be my number one mama...'' answered Ruhi innocently causing Shagun to tear up
'Well thank you for your forgiveness and I understand that your Ishima is the best...'' Said Shagun hugging Ruhi before she turned to Aditya and said
'Adi... Will you...'' She tried to talk but Aditya interrupted
'I hope you take care of yourself while you're there. I hope you learn a few things and also be remorseful to all the people you have hurt. I will forgive you someday but that day isn't today. I love you mom but I just really do not like you right now. You have hurt the people that I love repeatedly and you might have even hurt the one person who had been doing what you should have done for us. She could have died... Did it very occur to you that she could have died?'' Said Aditya as tears filled his eyes as Shagun begun to cry saying

'I know you are and that is all you very seem to do, apologize. I hope you reminisce on this and learn that this might have been worse.'' He said before he turned walking away from that room
Shagun stood there looking at his son as he walked away and she realized that she just might have lost him. She looked on as Ishita turned to follow him and felt so bad about how badly she had not only treated Ishita but her children and Raman. They are the only people in the world that she had and she messed it up.
'Please take care of them for me...'' She said looking at Raman
'I think we both know I have been doing that for a long time way before this began...'' Raman answered
'I really am so...'' Shagun tried to talk but he interrupted
'NO...NO...NO Sorry doesn't even begin to cover the things that you have put me through Shagun. You know what's even more hurting and humiliating is the fact that I ever loved you. You have put my kids though things they shouldn't ever have faced in their lifetime. What you're getting you deserves and do yourself a favor and save your apology for someone who wants to hear it because it is not me...'' Said Raman
'I know your hurt and annoyed with me but that doesn't give you a right to talk to me like that Raman. I tried to do right but you wouldn't let me. I tried to save her...'' Said Shagun
'What! Are you kidding me? You were trying to fix a mess that you yourself created in the first place. Just please take her away...'' he said looking at the policemen
'Raman Please... Raman...'' she called out but they instead they just took her away
Raman looked on as they took her away with all sorts of emotions going through his mind. Shagun was not a part of his life he was just going to erase. He truly loved her and she gave him two amazing gifts but their relationship had so far gone that there was no coming back from that.
He was heartbroken, this actually broke his heart that he had to do this but every time he thought about Ishita on that hospital bed all beaten up and all the nightmares she had to fight he become angrier and mad and he couldn't just leave her go unpunished. Ishita meant everything to him and anyone who tried to harm her would try and harm her, even Shagun would have to be ready to face his wrath.
