Oh! Why are most of you missing Manik so much? Let Nimish irk Nandini a bit more. Let the tension increase, physical as well as emotional.. and let some emotions flow through their dreams and their desperate actions...
Well, I can go on with my chants and you guys would probably be tired of it as well as me. But for now read the Chapter. And most importantly, the question that lies beneath in the end.
Happy reading, probably!
Chapter Eighteen.
He looked around stepping on the roof-top. He had finally arrived at the place and discovered the shocking truth that she had already left. It shattered him into pieces. He breathed the fresh air. With a heavy heart, he glanced at the place once more. As though that would make her appear, out of the blue. As though that would make her land into his arms.
"Manik Bhaiyya.."Nimish came running, squealing his name in most joyous tone. It couldn't irk him today. Because his voice had something that reminded him of her. Shaking his head, he reminded himself that he wasn't supposed to think of her. She didn't even try to contact her.
He looked at Nimish who jumped onto him, wrapping his arms around his neck.
"Whoa! What is it?" He enquired though with a disinterested tone.
"A surprise!" Splashing his white teeth to Manik, Nimish exclaimed. Receiving an interrogative look from Manik, he denied opening up about the surprise.
He heard the light chiming of the anklets.
No! I am thinking too much. It can be someone else as well. Stop thinking about her, Manik, He thought.
But whom was he fooling he knew she had the impact on his mind. No matter what, he would think of her, always! He chanted the words again and again just to make him think more of her.
"Nimish!" She screamed from her territory, only to make his heart sink in the pool of emotions.
She was there. She was back there. She was back to him, back to comfort him, ease him. And with that his eyes soothed resting upon her. It felt good to see her.
Climbing over the boundary, she hopped into his territory. "Nimish, you should go now." And for a change he did as said. Astonishing! She stepped a little forward, making his eyes scroll over her frame with ease.
"Missed me?" Her voice weakly formed a whisper. In return he nodded in negation, turning to the other side. Unable to look at her, he knew he would go weak. But now, he was upset and he had to convey that.
"Lying!" She exclaimed as though she knew every bit of him. As though the thought that ran into his mind came to her as well.
"You didn't even bother to inform me. If that's all how important I am to you, then how does it matter if I miss you or not?"
"Means you did miss me.." she spoke in between.
"No! It means I am nothing to you." It did hurt her to hear those harsh words out of his mouth. But he was hurt as well.
"You are getting it all wrong."Cupping his face, she looked lovingly at him while he prayed to have been proved wrong. "I wanted to inform you, but how was I supposed to?" She continued only to have questioned him.
"Phone call!" She looked at him with her round eyes.. he didn't realize what was coming up.
"Really?" She again queried."And did you give me your contact details?"Resting her hands on her hip.
"Come on! You could have easily found one." He reasoned.
"Then why didn't you bother to contact me?"While she tapped her foot, He was left with no replies.
"Here, I am to confess my feelings to you and you don't at all bother to recognize my effort. Instead you are blaming me. Is this how you will treat your girlfriend? If yes, then sorry I can't be with you." This time it was her turn to be upset, pretend to be.
"Nandini..." he looked at her side."Okay! Let's just forget it all. Please!" He begged as she continued with her pretentious drama for some more time.
"Manik, you seriously need to take specials tips!" She exclaimed getting highly bored by his attempts. He smiled as he did it purposely. If she could, why couldn't he?
"Yeah! But there are things I have mastered." His mischievous tone fell into her ears. Her stomach churned in anticipation of the upcomings. And he leaned whispering, "I love you!"
"I love you too!"Came an instant reply followed by a blush. Leaning into each other, embracing the other, they stayed there for long. Though the summers were still tough to spend.. they at least had each other by their sides.
It rained that night, marking an end to the summers.. an end to their tough summers. With the start of Romantic Monsoons.
The End.
This is probably sufficient in itself, still I would like to ask -
Is there a need for any Epilogue? I have one already written with me.. but according to me this is self sufficient.. still I will leave the decision up to you readers.
Let me know Epilogue or not along with your valuable reviews.
Thoughts, please! :)
