OS - WHY DO YOU ALWAYS SMILE KHUSHI? - 2
Arnav was sitting on his bed, thinking about his life, his wife, his Khushi.. His life took a turn from the time she entered his life.
He thought back to the time, he first met her. He came out of party hall which he came to attend just for formality.
He was striding across the lane when he heard someone calling him as "Arnavji.. Arnavji..."
He turned to find a girl of age 21 running towards him...
The girl came and stood before him, took a deep breath and said, " Arnavji, your sister met me, asked my hand for your marriage"
Arnav stood there shocked looking at the audacity of this girl.. He mentally cursed his sister for putting him in this situation..
"I'm not ready to marry you.." He said with no feelings. He thought he will see the rejection in her face, but he got shock seeing her smiling at him..
He cursing her, moved out towards her car...
It's been 1 week after that incident.. He was disturbed with that girls smile. He don't know why, but he was affected by her smile.
Apart from this, his sister was nagging him with the concept of marriage.. He can hear anything but not his sister's lecture about Marriage. He reluctantly agreed to pestering. Next day, he went to see the girl in one of the restaurant only to warn her not to agree for this marriage..
He was shocked finding the same girl he met in the party a week before.
He went towards her, took his seat and said,
"You're that girl right?"
Khushi nodded at him...
"Look.. I don't want to marry you.. Please say" he was about to continue, but stopped seeing the man pulling Khushi from her chair forcefully...
"What the hell are you doing here with this man?. Finding men to warm your bed" The man said touching Arnav's anger not knowing the repercussion.
Arnav closed his fist trying to control his overflowing anger
Khushi looked at the person and whispered, "Bhaiya?"
"I'm not.. You are my slave" saying he dragged her outside the restaurant..
Before leaving Khushi turned to see Arnav who stood there in shock.. She passed a full smile to him and went with her so called brother.
Arnav seeing her smile, loosened his fist.
In a week he got married to Khushi... Reason for this sudden marriage was not known to anyone except Arnav.
Arnav paid a lump sum amount to Khushi's brother and married her off..
Why did he married her?.. This was unknown to himself.
It was their wedding night, Arnav entered his room. He saw his new bride sitting on the bed with veil covered.. He locked the door and came towards her..
"I just married you, because of my sister. I can't give you the rights of a wife" said Arnav. He thought she will at least defend or say anything, but what all he got was only her smile. Her smile was the only thing that was disturbing him for past few days. He wanted to know the reason, but couldn't ask her straight.
It's been a month since they got married. Arnav was slowly attracted towards her. But he couldn't name their relationship.
One day, he saw his wife sitting on the dressing table, removing her jewels. He stood mesmerised seeing her in white and red saree. He went towards her.
Khushi saw him in the mirror, Seeing him coming near her, she stood up and turned towards him.
Arnav came before her, he took his hands and slowly cupped her cheeks and said..
"I want you Khushi" he whispered.
Khushi closed her eyes, she slowly raised her hands and clutched his collar, surrendering herself.
Both felt complete that night..
Next morning, Khushi woke up only to wide wide awake Arnav looking at her. She raised her head from her chest and looked at him..
He saw her looking at him... He slowly released his grip around her waist. She moved away from him..
"I don't love you Khushi" Arnav said, his voice was showing his guilt.
Khushi passed a weak smile to him and went to washroom.
It's been a month they consummated their marriage. Though the equation between their relationship changed.
Arnav started falling for her move, but he didn't understand that.
One day, He was searching for some file, when a diary fell down.
He looked at the blue colored diary thinking whom. He out of curiosity opened the first page to read
"Khushi Singh Raizada" where Singh Raizada were striked out.
He was about to turn the page when he heard the sound of door opening. He rushed towards the washroom with the diary and close the door before she enters the room.
He sat on the slab and opened the next page.
"Why my chacha, chachi and bhai hate me so much?.. Am I that bad?.. They are treating me as the maid of their house.. I didn't care but why do they always hurt me saying about my parents"
Arnav's eyes moistened. He knows this feeling because he too had experienced it. He turned the page.
"I met Anjali ji today.. sorry Di.. She is too sweet.. I just love her.. Wish I had a sister like her"
"Today Anjaliji asked me to marry Arnavji, her brother I was reluctant. But I just hoped this will change my life, so agree"
"I met Arnavji today. I spoke to him. I know he don't want to marry me.. So I just smiled and went away"
"Arnavji and I met in restaurant, before we speak my bhia came and dragged me.. All I can do is move away giving a smile to him"
"Arnavji and I got married. I know he did that for his sister. I dont know what to reply so I smiled"
"Arnavji completed me today. I know what happened between us.. I do know he don't love me. but I was happy so I smiled"
"I'm pregnant with Arnavji's child. I am happy I'm bearing his life inside me, but what if Arnavji don't want this child"
He was shocked finding he was going to be father. His eyes had tears, tears of happiness. He heard a loud thud outside the washroom. His eyes widened and ran out of the washroom only to see the suitcase which was kept on the top was on the floor.
He looked at Khushi who was shaking in fear, he moved towards her and said, "Khushi"
Khushi looked at him and hugged him tightly...
"Arnavji.. I I took that from the top, but don't know how it fell down" said Khushi crying holding her bump..
Arnav saw that and understood she was afraid of their child..
"Shh Shh.. Khushi.. nothing happened to you nor to our baby" said Arnav caressing her.
Khushi closed her eyes hearing this, but came out of his arm suddenly realizing what she heard..
Understanding her questioning gaze, he showed her, her diary..
She stood mobile looking at him, but he didn't say anything, but gathered her in his arms and hugged her tightly.
After this, Khushi's life again change. Her day started and ended with smile only. Her smile never left away from her lips. She was pampered by everyone in their family especially Arnav. Though He didn't verbally declare his love but she knows.
Its Khushi's 9th month... Only Arshi were in house. Arnav was working in his lappy when he heard Khushi shout.. He ran towards washroom only to see Khushi lying on the floor crying in pain. He went towards her and lifted her.
After 20 mins, he reached hospital. Khushi was crying at the same time, there was a smile on her lips. Arnav don't know why she was smiling in pain.
When She was about to take inside the ICU, Her grip become stronger. Doctor tried to remove her grip, but she didn't.
"Shall I come inside" asked Arnav looking at his wife.
Doctor agreed, and took Khushi inside the ICU.
Khushi was shouting in unbearable pain.. Arnav stood beside her holding her in his arms...
After an hours of struggle, Khushi gave a birth to baby child...
Arnav felt pain seeing her rather than happiness of seeing his daughter.
But again he saw a smile on her lips..
"Why do you always smile Khushi?" asked Arnav wanting to know the reasons for all her smile.
"Because, that is the only thing I have in this world" said Khushi again smiling at him.
Arnav stood there shocked hearing her reply... He just hugged her tightly and whispered, "You have me and your daughter in this world Khushi"
He dropped a kiss on her forehead, in a minute nurse came and gave their baby to them.
Arnav took her in his arms, looked at khushi, he dropped a kiss on his daughter's forehead.
He went near his wife, wrapped her in his other arm, placed a kiss on her forehead saying " I love you Khushi.."
He looked at her for reply, but all he go was her smile in return..
Smile is the only thing that convey everything what our heart is feeling.
