Part 3:
Amaira looked straight into Hussain's eyes, she couldn't believe her ears. Her eyes were red, blood red. She was holding back her tears, she could not believe that she was finally getting to know about her father, why he leaved and where was he. She looked at Hussain's face but did not say anything, a lot of questions were running in her mind but she couldn't ask. She couldn't speak, words didn't come out. This was the most awkward phase in her life. Hussain handed her an envelope and went away, without saying anything, he just left. Amaira saw the envelope; she recognized her father's handwriting immediately, "To Amaira, with love. I hope you read it without hating me" , she read and wiped her tears. She felt him by touching those words, how she missed her father. She knew that there could be anything written inside, she could read, probably, the worst news as well and so she was ready for it. She opened the seal and found a letter and a photograph. She picked the photograph first, it was her father's with another woman. She couldn't recognize her at all. Amaira knew all of Zahir's acquaintances but this woman seemed new to her. She then picked the letter and started reading it-
"Assalam Walekum Amaira, sab khairiyat? I hope you don't hate me." ,she wiped her tears and read. "I know that I have been the worst father ever, I left you without informing you, honestly, I had decided never to leave, I had decided to bring you along but I was not ready, not ready to make you adapt this new life. Ever since you were born, we gave you the best life ever, the most luxurious one and I don't feel that it would be just to take this life away from you. If I wanted I could have left you all way before, even before you were born but I knew that I had to be there for some years because you were my responsibility too. I never would want to run away from my responsibility."
Those words ached her heart, I never would want to run away from my responsibility, she repeated.
She continued reading, " By now you must have known that Tulsi Kaka knew everything about me, he has been the most beautiful support of my life and my inner self would never let me hide anything from him. I knew that Hussain would reach out to Tulsi Kaka somehow and so it was the best decision to tell him everything. You must have seen the woman in the picture with me. Well, Amaira bacche, she is my wife."
She read it again. And once again. Wife. He got married again; he left them to fulfill his heart's desire of marrying another woman. He left his business, his only daughter and his wife for someone else. Some other woman. She swallowed her saliva, she couldn't believe. She wanted someone to come and tell her that this wasn't real, this was nothing but a dream, but the harsh reality was, that this is not one.
"You may start hating me now , you may hate me forever , but it is my responsibility to let you know that Sadaf was always the one who was in my heart. We were college friends and then love happened. Unfortunately, I couldn't marry her because her abbu got her married in a rich family and that time I wasn't supported financially. After 7 years, her husband expired but even at that time I couldn't be with her, you were born. You were the biggest happiness of my life and I couldn't leave you alone. We were always in touch, she often offered to come home and spent time with you, but I didn't want that. Somehow I wanted you to love your mother but even that didn't work out. Bacche, I tried to control my heart a lot but I couldn't and that is why I left. I wanted to tell you but I couldn't gather the courage to do so. I am sorry, I hope you will not hate me.
Khuda hafiz,
Abbajaan."
Her heart sank. She had never expected this, her father was her idol, her hero and she could never believe that her father would ever leave her so cowardly. She could definitely not hate her father because he gave her all the love for 15 years but definitely there was no love left in her heart for him. She knew that her mother never loved her father and vice versa, she knew that her father went through a lot of pain but she felt that his endurance level was a lot, she never had guessed that her father will give up so soon. She cried, she cried to deaf ears but she did. She wanted to let out all the pain; she wanted to outburst her pain.

Ronak had a tough life. He had no support, everything he did was by his own. Since he couldn't pay a lot of fees he had already set his mind to get through a government college so that the fees was less, and he did it, he was studying Mathematics,in his last year, at the Hansraj College,Delhi University. He even tutored students of standard 7 and 8 and paid for his dance lessons as well. Everything, all by himself. He always missed his parents, every single minute of his life but every time he did so, his father's words ring in his head, "We have always given our best to make you a successful person and all you want to become is a dancer, how do you even expect us to accept this? If this is your decision, please leave our house and our lives."
The only thing Ronak possessed was his dance, he felt as if he was in a different world when he swayed his body to the rhythm of the music; it gave him satisfaction, peace and stability. He enjoyed it. Ronak wanted to pursue dance as a career but he wanted a back up and that is why he never gave up on his education. In 3 years, Ronak had won a lot of dance performances and had even conducted his own dance lessons, he always made sure that whatever he earned, he sends a part of it to his parents, hoping that they would be happy. Whenever his heart longed for love, either he danced or visited the House For Old' , amongst so many abandoned parents he found his own, spending time with them, hugging them or dining with them brought a smile on his face, that really made him happy. He used to forget all his worries at that time and that is when he enjoyed life to the fullest.
