Hey everyone! First of all thank you for all the likes and wonderful comments on the last chapter. And sorry for the late update, but I wasn't feeling well. And also from now on, due to some issues, I won't be able to update frequently like I once used to, but will try to update once in 2-3 days. Hope you all understand and here's the next update...

Chapter 31A

"Raman..."

"Out of all people in the world, he had to come to our house?"

"I called him here because-"

"You?! Why?!" He asked her in a loud tone which scared her as she looked in his disappointed and rage filled eyes.

"Because he wanted to meet you. He said it was important for him to talk to you."

"So if anyone tells you that you will believe him or her?" he turned his face away from her in anger.

"But Raman he-"

"Do you even know who he is?"

"No, I just know him through Mihika." She told him as Mihika walked into the house.

"Ishita, he's Mihir...Mihir Arora! Shagun's brother! The man I've been avoiding him for months is in my house now."

"Shagun's brother?! What?! But he said he's been looking to meet you for a year now!"

"A year?! Really Mihir...what a lie! He met me 4 months ago at Shagun's funeral...where he created the biggest drama ever. He said it was my fault Shagun died and I agree with him, but that didn't give him the right to call me an incompetent dad nor does it allow him to take Ruhi from me! "

"What?!" She looked at him confused.

"I understand his hate and I never said a word against it, but Ruhi...I won't anyone take Ruhi from me...and Mihir if you really do want go to court and try to fight for my daughter, then let me tell you it will never happen! You're never getting Ruhi because you can prove me as a horrible husband but never a bad father!"

"Raman listen-" Mihir tried to speak up, but Raman was not in the mood to listen right now worried about what he would have to hear today.

"Mihir please...I don't have it in me to listen to anymore. I know I was wrong, but I can't bring her back. I can only regret over what I did and I do...but please...please don't!"

"Raman...that's why I'm here to talk to you! About all I said!"

"What do you want to tell me?! I know you hate me Mihir! What else will you say?!"

"Really Raman, is it me who hates you or the other way around?"

"What are you trying to say?"

"Raman I know you're upset because of the drama I created at Shagun's funeral and because you also know that if I had told you the truth maybe she would have been alive today."

"Maybe?! Mihir if you had even given me a hint about what could happen to her, I swear I would have never mentioned kids to her again...but no all you hid such a big thing from me! Your sister could have been alive today if you had told me."

"Raman! What is going on?!" Ishita finally interrupted the confusing conversation that left the two sisters lost.

"I will explain Ishitaji...after Shagun passed away I was very upset. She was my only family and Raman had promised he would never hurt her, so when she suddenly died because of her pregnancy, I was enraged. I thought it was all Raman's fault. I thought he knew about the possible outcome of having Ruhi, so I lashed out on him in front of everyone. In my anger I told everyone that I wouldn't let my niece stay with a man like him and I would show everyone how much of an incompetent husband and father he is. But I never knew he was unaware of Shagun's problem. I never know how much my sister had hid from him and unknowingly I didn't bother telling him anything either assuming he knew it all. But he didn't...he just didn't know. And he is mad at me more than I was at him for all I did at my sister's funeral, for hiding from him and for threatening to take away Ruhi."

"Why didn't you tell me all this before?" Ishita tried to understand what was happening.

"Would you have let me meet Raman then?"

"Well just because you're in my house doesn't mean I want to talk to you. I honestly don't want to have any talk with you nor do I want to meet you. Just leave!" Raman yelled at him as he dealt with numerous emotions running in him.

"But Raman-"

"Please go! I'm begging you! Just leave!" Mihir looked at him once. Raman was too upset at him coming here so he wouldn't listen no matter what and he had no choice but to leave. As he left and only Raman, Mihika and Ishita remained.

Ishita and Mihika were both scared of the anger they saw in him when he talked about Mihir wanting to take away Ruhi and not telling him about Shagun. Ishita looked at Mihika who was shocked to see the usually calm Raman lash out at Mihir. As he took a seat she slowly walked over to him only to get scolded...

"And Ishita why...why did you bring him here?! You know I am trying to move on and this doesn't help!" Raman yelled making her jump in her spot terrified of him.

"Excuse me?! This is no way to talk to anyone. She didn't know any of this would happen! Don't you dare talk to Ishu Akka like this." Mihika yelled back just as loudly.

"Mihika you don't know anything so please don't speak in between." Ishita tried to keep her sister out of it all.

"No Akka! You always silence me when it comes to him, but why? I mean look at the way he is speaking and why is he yelling for no reason? And you Mr. Bhalla I thought you had told me you won't hurt my sister, clearly it's not something you can do. She is crying now because of your yelling. I don't know what your past is or not, but whenever Akka has mentioned it her mood changes and she seems so lost and upset. I don't know or care about what happened to your first wife, but you better make sure it doesn't hurt my sister."

"Listen Mihika, I don't ever want to hurt Ishita, but-"

"But you are! You have to realize you're not the only one with a past here! Akka's been through so much and she's never cried or complained to you has she?! You have no idea how much pain she has and is still tolerating. So just get it that you need to stop throwing your past on her face and then blaming her for not being able to handle it! Because I'm sure you will not be able even hear what she has been through and neither will you ever be able to handle it if her ex came in front of you! It's not all about you Mr. Raman Bhalla!"

He looked at her blankly while Ishita tried to get Mihika to stop looking at his lost state. He realized how this relationship was starting to look like it was all about him and his pain. And in the process to move on, he seemed to have ignored her pain. Mihika's words gave him made him feel as if he didn't care for what she was going through, that he didn't care about what happened to her and was only concerned about getting someone to take away his scars and pain. He was once again feeling selfish. His mind changed tracks. He was once again relating his past to his present, he felt selfish...he felt horrible again. Not being able to understand what to do or say, he wanted to get out of there. He wanted to leave the suffocating space that was feeling him with guilt once again. He felt pushed to the point he was trying to get away from. He wanted to be alone.

"I have to go somewhere...I'll be back soon."

He got up almost rushing out the house as she followed him much to Mihika's surprise. He felt someone tug his shirt from the back as he reached his car. It was her. He didn't know what he wanted to do or say anymore. He wanted to be with her, for she was the only one who gave me a sense of peace whenever his mind and heart was disturbed, but this time he couldn't. He turned back and her tears kept on reminding him of Mihika's words and he was lost as to who to talk to or share the thoughts cluttered in his mind. He would have to be like before and try to sort things out alone in his own mind.

"Raman..." her voice broke his trance. She pleaded to him with her eyes not to leave. There was an unusual fear that reflected in her eyes. It was what he had seen and felt himself, then why was she feeling this way. It just added onto the mess in his head already and now he definitely needed to get out.

"Please..." he turned away and she knew there was something in his head he couldn't even tell her. He was once again hiding something in him, but this time she knew. It was her sister's words. She cursed herself for brining Mihika and Mihir home and recalled how one thing led to another. She knew he wouldn't listen to her words nor would they have the conviction for him to believe them so she let him go.

"Come back soon."

"I will." And he sat in his car driving off at a speed that made way for worry to overtake her and added to the anger she had on her sister who she needed to have a serious talk to...

Raman's break down was very emotional. I could feel his pain! Well, Mihika does need a reality check. Hope Ishu gives her a good reality check and hope too see Ishu's past opening up in future too.

So that was mihir...I expected that...So know mihir realised his mistake and was sorry...Mihika should tone down , I know she was worried for sister but that doesn't mean accuse Raman or blame him...

So there is more to Ishita's past...Raman was guilty and upset , hope he calm down and go to Ishitaa bcoz I think she will also feel guilty.

Hope this will bring them closer.

I didn't get to comment on your last update due to time, but this most recent update just pulled at my heart strings. Raman's emotions were just so heart-wrenching...how he feels trapped that he is too selfish despite everything. Gosh Ishita & Raman are both so beautifully portrayed in your story!

I loved it..it looks like family issues round up..u wonderful write the mihir and raman conversation.both are losted their loved one...both are fighting with their pains after losting shagun..

Shaggy family not disclose about her health condition..so how is raman responsible for shagun death?

O mihir want ruhi..he also suprised to see ruhi and ishita.may be he accept ishita .already mihir watch how ishita loves ruhi..so there is no question of snatching ruhi from ishra.

Actually raman scared to see mihir in his place,he scared may be he lost his daughter..

I agree with raman condition.he wantedly not hurt ishu ,raising his tone against her.

mihika,she dont know what bonding is b/w ishra.she not with time after marriage a single day.so how can she judge raman.she is just a loveable sis who want her akka happiness..

Raman now again feeling guilty and thinking he is selfish by not knowing ishita's past.

she never open up her heart to him.may be he failed to give that much comfort to her to share her pain to him.he want space now.

At this time ,they want space.atleast he answering ishu.
