Parineeti Chopra, who made a red carpet appearance at IIFA this year looking leaner, was apparently upset on seeing Sonakshi Sinha performing her singing act on stage, reports Bollywoodlife.com. Sonakshi sang 'Sawaar loon' song from Lootera. Further to the report, Parineeti who is a trained singer herself, felt she could have been approached for a similar act. The report quoted a source as saying that the actress was very upset and angry with Sonakshi's act. On seeing Sonakshi perform, Parineeti was fuming, the source further stated.

Parineeti denied this on Twitter weeks ago:

However, Parineeti has denied the above story and got on to twitter and said, "What is the point of asking for my quote when you're going to print a negative story anyway? Better to ignore your messages then! Its so disheartening to see a story that is absolutely untrue, even when I have respectfully answered your query! So disappointed."

She further tweeted, "Don't try and spoil our relationships with each other. All us actors are friends. We support each other. BELIEVE IT ONCE AND FOR ALL! I still respect your newspaper very much, my reaction is ONLY to today's story."
