Well, Amit's "Bulla Ki Jaan" was about 100000X better than all 3 of Prashant's songs, for starters.
Second of all, you can't compare a singing competition to a cricket game. You're supossed to be looking at all the previous efforts of the contestant also. I can think of at least 4 or 5 performances of Amit's that totally amazed me. Prashant has never managed to do that for me. Even though his "tanhayee" sounded a little better than Amit's, it's not enough to say that he should win.

this is main point amit was totally in pressure and perform badly in finale and mumbai concert, the only performance which was better is bhula and u can not get votes on single performance.. however on the other hand the only relative bad performance of prashant was ashique banaya.. and all other performance was marvelous and brilliant by prashant

at last amit unable to handle the pressure of finale.. and i m smelling the crown of indian idol for prashant and amit now becomes the best candidate of sony ericson cell
