Tonight I caught a star.

That had abandoned its celestial home for a mere mortal.

They tell you stars are dead- Mind you, this one is a live wire.

The moon tried to race with her glow.

The moonlight paled in embarrassment.

The universe stopped to steal a glance.

The stars frowned in envy- their fire was dead long ago.

The winds flirted with her curls,

As if to taunt me more.

A soft sigh escaped her lips...

Whispering this was not a dream...

I stood and stared...

How does one take care of a star?

How do you let the warmth stay?

How do you make sure the light shines?

Does it hurt when I hold her?

Wish my hands were feathers for her to touch.

Her lips parted slightly- For a drink? For a kiss?

Eyes fluttered - what would you want to behold, my beloved?

I have caught a star.

Tell me, the world is yours.
