Vikaas Kalantri and Pooja Ghai of White Leaf Entertainment and Anuj Saxena of Maverick Productions Private Limited recently announced their joint venture The Gold Awards- the first Global Indian Television Awards!
Speaking at a press conference at Hyatt Regency, Andheri, the two companies jointly announced the first Global Indian Television Awards, recognizing outstanding achievements, both in popular as well as technical branches and crafts.

Almost the entire TV industry and film celebs landed to show their support for this exciting new venture as the Press conference was followed by an amazing party attended by a glittering galaxy of stars and celebrities like Shatrugan Sinha with wife, Mithun Chakraborthy, Aamna Sharif, Aashish Chowdhury, Kiran Karmarkar, Urvashi Dholakia, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Shekhar Suman, Ravi Kishen, Rajpal Yadav, Tanaz and Bakhtiyar Irani, Apara Mehta, Satish Shah,Dippshika, Manav Gohil, Swetha Kawatra, Mreenal Deshraj, Vikaas Sethi, Prachi Pandey, Hussain with wife Tina, Ali Asgar, Juhi Parmar, Ninad Kamat, Reshmi Ghosh, Manava Naik, Kadambari, Bhagyashree, Indraneil and Barkha Bisht, Amit Verma, Manish Goswami, Bakul Thakkar, Usha Bacchani, Nikhil Arya, Rajesh Khera, Sooraj Thapar, Mrinal Kulkarni, Manish Goswami, Anupam Bhattacharya, Chavi Mittal with husband Mohit, Shital Thakkar, amar Upadhayay, Rakesh Paul, Parmeet Sethi, Archana Puran Singh, Bhavna Balsaver, Deepak Parasher, Rupali Ganguly, Amit Behl, Nasir Qazi, Bobby Darling Vaibhavi Behl, Amit Sana, Mickey dudhani and Dimple Inamdar amonsgt others!
The stars partied till the wee hours of the morning and were most excited about these Awards going global.

The Gold Awards will be held on 22nd September, 2007 in Mauritius.

The Gold Awards consist of an honorable jury of the following greats: Mr. Ravi Chopra (Producer/Director) , Mr. Mithun Chakraborthy (Actor) , Ms. Rati Agnihotri (Actress), Mr. Subhash Awate ( Joint Commissioner of Police, Mumbai) and Ms. Gita Hari (Journalist and Editor of Gold Magazine).

These are awards that are for the Industry and by the Industry, they will have voting carried through the medium of mobile vans which would run across the city therefore ensuring even the technical crew to vote, right from the Spot boys to Actors, including the Directors, Writers and Producers.
