<div>Neither am I a youngster. In my life's experience, I have seen this treatment in many families in my grandmother and mother's generation when I was a lot younger. It has a different flavor these days not as blatant as it was in their generation when the bahus bore the taunts silently for the peace in the family. With education and awareness people have stood up to some extent but depending on where you live in India the incidence of such treatment still prevails. Not everyone is exposed to such behavior.
