Exactly the case in Muslim countries, Muslims celebrate Ramadan by observing Islamic rites, like performing Taraweeh Prayer at about fifty mosques in Vienna ...
Ramadan, the ninth month of their lunar calendar, began last night at sundown.
Ramadan is the Islamic month of fasting. From sunrise to sunset, Muslims do not eat or drink anything, including water.
Dr. Hassan Jafary, a muslim living in Beckley, believes Ramadan to be a time of spiritual reflection and fasting of the soul, as well.
Jafary says, "The month is particularly about doing good. Doing good with your eyes, with your hand, with your mouth, with your feet. Not just with your tummy."
