Since some of you were confused with the color of the eyes described, of Nandini, of course. I have changed it from blue to brown. I hope it won't create confusion further.
That's all.
Chapter Three.
He hit around his neck, flattening the mosquito and hurting himself more. Spending the day all long under the sun wasn't enough that he was bestowed with the night to be sleepless. During the day, heat was a reason along with the major distraction, the anklet girl. He didn't even know her name, yet.
But for now, right now, he had something more important to tackle, mosquitoes!
Hit, again..
Missed..
Hit.. something hit him hard. That wasn't his hand. He looked at the thing that hit him. Mosquito repellent cream.
God! His silent prayers were answered so soon. He looked up at the dark glittering sky to thank the almighty.
"It's not God! I am the one to be thanked." Her honey-dipped voice purred into his ears. He turned in swift only to heat his senses with the view of the owner of the voice. His eyes lingered at the dark emerged form. He tried taking all of her through his eyes.
She climbed the boundary of her side and arched a brow at him. She was sure of one thing - he wasn't going to take away those lusty eyes from her.
"Give me your hand." She screamed. Her attire proved to be a barrier to cross those boundaries. And soon he was by her side, helping her. She jumped as she got down on his side, while his arms rested on the sides of her waist. Bare waist.
She was clad in heavily layered skirt with a blouse that covered the highly essential. He gulped the emotion to rip the fabric, then and there.
Looking at his arms still clutching the sides of her, she faked a cough. But that was royally ignored. "I don't mind spending the entire night here in your arms, but my legs surely do." She husked into his ears, making his senses boil. That was heating up his veins.
"I will take care of that." He whispered back into her ears as her fragrance engulfed his nostrils. It felt heavenly tempting.
"You are such a big flirt. Still you just keep staring all time." She marked, pushing him away. Once she thought there was enough distance between the two, she again started, "I am still waiting."
"Well I have been waiting longer." He had a glint in his eyes as those words left his mouth. Knowing the senseless sense his words made, she thought of giving a rest to his brain. "Stop trying those double meaning statements with me. And I was waiting for a 'Thank You' for that mosquito repellent cream." She reminded him the cause for her presence.
"Is that all what made you jump the boundary?" He queried with a smirk. He had a valid point.
"I better leave." She turned around only to be stopped. Holding onto her wrist, he asked something that blew her mind. "Just giving this isn't of any help until you apply it." And there he threw away his shirt, handing over the tube to her.
"You are highly mistaken I won't do that." His smirk widened as she shuddered with his pull. The wind played along her curls, teasing him with a view to her back. His breath splashed across her nape as she heard, "Fine! Just give me your name." She had her eyes shut as she uttered her name, "Nandini!" That name rang into his ears.
His hold around her wrist loosened and she moved towards the boundary as he asked, "Won't you ask my name?"
"I already know it, Manik!" She looked at him with her signature smile. Those tender lips curved gently into a smile. It seemed beautiful in the darkness of the night. And before she was there on the other side, she greeted him, "Good Night!"
His day couldn't have been better. It started with her greetings and ended with the same.
