Salman, while getting on board to do Shuddhi, had asked Karan to cough up Rs 45 crore as his upfrontpayment. But it does not end there. Salman also wanted a 17-30% share of the profits, subject to realisation. And since it's a Salman film, you know that the profits would be a massive amount. This conversation happened around June-July last year while Salman was promoting Kick. When Karan went to his CFO he realised that while 45 crore might be possible the profit sharing arrangement would bleed Karan's company Dharma.Cut to a few months later when Karan visited Salman at his home during his court hearings. Karan once again broached the subject of Shuddhi and that's when Salman lost his cool. A source says, "Salman told him that he should forget the film as he would never be able to match his monetary demands." And that's how Salman put an end to his association with Shuddhi. That Karan didn't forget the film and signed Varun Dhawan is another story.

so budget of the film would have been 150cr plus

now KJO will reduce it to 90-100cr and try to score 120cr hence recover the investment in the process get a semi hit tag

KJO took a wise decision of taking a new cast...Salman taking 45crores as the fees was really fine but why be so greedy to take profits of the movie?

Srk, Akki and Aamir also takes profits from the movies besides their fees.

even nobody like hrithik had asked for 40% shares of profit and opted out of the movie...just saying

Good that KJO gave Salman ...a laat on his bum instead of giving him profits ...😆...So Salman was pissed off at KJo...and telling the truth when he said that he was thrown out of the movie...well in a way he was😆

Great that KJo didnt agree with Hrithik too... Shuddi is already a risky project, and if it had flopped then KJO would have been in big trouble

He is one of the best in BW so why can't he ask for extra? KJo just wants to save money so Sallu isn't the greedy one tbh

and FYI salman gave a statement saying he is expensive to karan..which is true

On one hand you are asking for profits & on the other hand, one ain't greedy? Somehow, I don't get the logic. Lol
