Why. I remember during my childhood bday parties, my parents always asked guests to not get any gifts. Pissed me off no end.😆

Still luckily some would get. It's a desi thing.

I mean they write this on card and when I go to the wedding I see they will have a seprate table for the gifts and there will be one or two men noting down who all gave gifts.
And some desi aunties will be like "He/She did'nt give any gift in my son's/Daughter's wedding..bkah blah."
I mean WTH then why did you write that then?

Ok didn't see anyone do that lolz. Where I come from, people give shagun money in an envelope or otherwise and there's like a queue (the one time Indians will actually queue 😆) and bride/groom seated next to each other and another person (usually saali) collecting the money.

And yes, the "money collector" will often keep an eye out for the bigwigs and the notorious misers. 😆

This is cool!!! Love the simplicity. But can we get just one thread for the updates on his wedding. Everyday there is some news or the other coming up, will be easier that way
