Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani's story writer confirmed on Twitter that the news is not true :)

I don't think its going off air very soon. They again started giving repeats of JA in day time also. they stopped giving repeats of SWB n HP. Even they announced a new serial called Sarojini from 20th july at 6-30 pm. They may give 7-30 Pm slot to ETR2 r they may give it to JA. One more thing which is very imp in TRP point of view i.e. there is no guarantee that if we have a big star, the show is going to be a hit. example we have some shows like HS, RR, DBDHJ, IKNMP, Reporters etc... which have biggest names in Tellywood . Then also they didn't get TRPs. so I don't think Zee is foolish enough to close a show which gives international viewship n loose the viewers.
