Why does nobody seem to notice Shikhar's pain?

Let me put forth a disclaimer when I'm at it:

NOT AN ISHKAR SHIPPER/ARJUN FAN

Now, cutting to the chase, this forum is full of threads whose opening posts wax eloquent and poetic about the depths of Ranveer's pain, his heart-rending suffering, the cruel jaws of Fate closing on to him from all sides, et al.

But how come nobody notices the silent silhouette in the background, that of Shikhar, who's letting his love free without any theatrics? In the likeness of the pre-leap Ranveer, he, Sikhar, chooses to stash away his inner hurricanes under a 100-watt smile, with the ever-present wisecracks on his lips that lifts every sagging mood. He's the Salman of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in the scene where he says, "Main to itna handsome hun ki mujhe koi bhi ladki mil jayegi". We, the audience, are so busy in cheering for Rahul and Anjali's dramatic re-union, that Aman fades into the background, while emerging a picture of dignified tragedy.

Is it the same case with Sikhar? Is he just not theatrically "trrragic" enough for us? Just a thought.

No .., I can feel Shikhers pain also ... Even though I am an Ishveer fan ...

I think everybody notices everybody's pain... Its just that

Some people notice Ranveer's pain a little more than others..😭

Some notice Ishaani's pain a little more than others...😭

And Some notice Shikhar's pain a little more than others..😭

But nobody notices the pain of viewers... Neither maiyaa nor CVs.. 😆

That's why we are here on the forum to share each other's pain.. 😆

The reason I do not sympathize with him is that his "pain" is solely about being an ignoramus about the things around him. His pain would have been understandable had he loved Ishani and not forced himself on her (yes, he did that by telling her he'd love her too much that she'd love him back too one day and blah blah) and let her feelings evolve naturally for him. He ignored Ishani's feelings initially and noticed when she was too much worried and all her concerns were absolutely visible on her face. Also, his love is merely 2-3 months old which in itself not at all comes closer to being Ranveer's in any way. The reason we keep praising Ranveer and his love is that he has proved himself countless times what Ishani is for him and it's HIM whose love gets ignored not lawyer's. There's everyone to be happy and sad for lawyer, but for Ranveer? No one. In a war, there are two soldiers- one fights for a couple of minutes and gets wounded and another one has been fighting for months and is wounded and still continues to fight. The choice is yours who you think is the one deserving of sympathy and worth being noticed for. In short, lawyer's pain in NO WAY comes closer to Ranveer's. He might have loved Ishani but has never felt any agony, and, even now he has not initiated on that path. He's just a beginner who thought love means a happy ending with the person you love. It isn't so. The intensity of Ranveer's love and agony is hundred times greater than that of lawyer's. I see no way why I should be noticing his pain since it's all self-inflicted.

But he clearly didn't mean it, as we can see now. Isn't it? And he was the one who uttered that dialogue about "Setting your love free". And I'm not discounting Ranveer's pain, but that does not mean Sikhar's pain is a joke.

About the soldier analogy: The soldier who gets wounded and continues to fight, does so because he's a veteran and used to the warfare business. The other one, who's a beginner and gets seriously wounded right at the outset, does not know how to deal with it, and yet tries his best not to flinch at the pain, will evoke as much sympathy from me as the former.

The problem with shikhar apart from as wrote by Elvish_hobbit is that despite he knowing everything about Ishaani telling him in first meeting that the person she LOVES has married somebody and is happy...

When RV told him that ishaani is his wife..still he went ahead with his feeling

You first see the hole in road still get in hole then cry like a baby is something i feel stupid...that's technically cv's error...but since it is shikhar the pain is very very small as compared to RV..

This is something we didn't expected from the reputed LAWYER😕 and that to a man😲 and that to a casanova🤢..who dated mutiple girls👏...to get easily convinced...But if cv's are the writer of matsh anything can happen😳😳

No offense to anyone, but this show is meant to be the love and pain of Ranveer. So obviously ppl will feel for him. Many of us are watching only for him. And top of it, Shakti has given perfect justice to this character through his acting and expressions.

As a viewer, this is my first show of both Arjun and Shakti... No comments on any of them. But yes character of Ranveer touches me more. His character has hidden charm which holds majority of the audience. I don't think any other actor could have done justice to this extent.

We are seeing him since a year and Shikhar has just entered the show. So better if we don't compare and just enjoy...
