Even though I also agree Sanam should have paid more attention to the holes in the story and also the clues she had, STILL, she is the victim. All she did wrong was believe Shaad without much question. She attempted to act as a "wife" would with him. But we can't say that is HER fault and blame her. She was trying to act in good faith in the relationship she thought she was in! It was Shaad that misled her and played with her mental health, and played mind games with her! So the fault is HIS, coz he knew he was lying but she did not.

The blind trust in Shaad to some extent came from the fact that he saved her from that mob! She was lost and alone and he was her only help in that moment. Even when she was praying when Shaad was in hospital, she said "Main Shaad Ki ehesaan nehi chuka sakthi. Uske siva iss duniya main mera koi nahin". We can hear the gratitude and feel the fear. She only knows HIM. So she has a death grip on this person. Her only raft in a rough sea. Little does she know the very raft she is using to not drown, is pulling her under, and away from her real husband and any family she really has! Once again, trusting someone does not make you a culprit. Breaking someone's trust does! Also, Shaad need to tell her the truth to her FACE! If he can lie to her face, he can jolly well tell the truth to her face too! Lying to face and telling the truth in a letter? What the H is that?

Jokes apart, see, a victim is always the weakest one. If Sanam was not an idiot Shad would never have been able to con her beyond a couple of days. The script has established her as idiot and she has no training in maths. I am sure she forgot all that was taught in prep 1 and 2.

Toh Aahil giving clue to idiot makes no sense. I will never question her.

But Shad is definitely a sociopath for taking advantage of an idiot. Someone pointed out mentally challenged are most prone to such abuse. And he definitely has abused her. inappropriate touching even if not sex is abuse... And none can deny that he has overstepped his line. Calling him silly school boy is making his crime smaller.

BTW, in the much touted sex abuse case one of the culprit was underaged... !

No matter what you call Shad, I definitely see him as sociopath. He is an educated, cultured army guy. He is supposed to know the difference. How is he a school boy? How is he silly.? In fact he is very sly has not yet realized his mistake. He does not think he has done anything wrong by being all touchy and feely to the wife under the nose of the husband? It's not as if he does not know the ways of the society. He knows. So how can he not realize and appologise for his faults, which actually look like crime to me. What if he was doing this in Sanam's father's house? What would Asad have done.. point to ponder. Major ka Janaza uth jata...IMAGINE

Yes... Some of us view his acts as criminal and some of us view it as silly boy's acts. But a young woman's honor is at stake. do we all agree on this or even this is contentious? Even if the woman in question is an idiot she still has right to honor.

How do I find weird examples from real life. its only Gul who can cook up out of the world situations...I just felt you were putting too much onus on the victim(Sanam) to get out of her situation and no responsibility on Shad. which is why I felt just like my friend was not responsible for what happened to her, same way Sanam is not responsible for showing 'apnapan' to the imposed 'Shauhar' relation. May be you were not... Janney do..koi baat nahi.

Maybe my definition of sociopath is more wide. You hae it a lot more restricted, because this statement of yours caught me...

It isn't only about whisking away or forcing himself, according to me. but then we all set different mental standards. But he did look creepy at numerous occasions to me.

(P.S. - I do not enjoy bashing him. the actor and the character both are too vanilla for my taste anyways. Koi dhang ka emotions naho dikhai deta... such a boring screen presence.)
