PROLOGUE
"It's been hours since the patient has been arrived. There's a serious case of trauma. Please, let me operate." Part of being a doctor is being able to safe people's lives. No matter how odd some situations might seem, no matter how difficult they might be, you'll always end well, and say "We saved him".
"No, Dr. Evens, I can't. As much as I want to help this person too, there are some rules around here. Please, just.. wait. It's alright. You don't need to panic."
"It's not alright Dr. Robbins! There's a patient in front of you, who needs immediate attendance and is not getting it because no one is his guardian." Part of being a doctor also means that you get to be the God, no matter how much the world tries to let you down. You'll be always be the God. God who saves the life of innocent people.
"Clamp!" She announces. I glance up at her. "You're right, we should do this."
"But the rules? We could get fired for this." Says the person whom I always loathed. Jack Sawyer. Ethan's friend. Ooh, whose Ethan? Uh.. In a minute.
"The patient could die because of our job saving! Dr. Evens, clamp please."
"Yes, Dr. Robbins."
"Without guardian operation is a crime. If no one takes the responsibility, and the patient dies, we could get into serious trouble if the surgery isn't succesful-"
"I'll take the responsibility. Start the operation." My breath hitches. That hottie guy, is my boyfriend, Ethan Smith.
"Are you sure, Dr. Smith?"
"I am." I smile at him. Being a doctor, I got to be everything. Just when you think your life has ended and you're stuck, something happens and it changes all of a sudden. Something happens that you always wanted to. Or didn't.
