Chapter FourRey look at his mate, he knew the information he is going to give her wll break her heart. She was sitting on couch in his study while he stood before her.
"I don't want a mate specially you." rey spat, She stare at him with confusion.
"Urmn..Why? Is there any problem with me?" Taani asked in confusion, insecurities surrounded her, making her heart break further.
"Not with you but with me. You & I, we are not like normal wolves. We are the legendary wolves. In every hundred years two wolves take birth, a pure white and night black, they are strongest wolves in the world but they could only enhance their power once they mate. You are my source of powers." Rey told her. Her brows knitted in confusion more, everything seems too foreign for her.
"After being fully mated to you, we would provide each other power and strength but you know, since a witch had given me curse. Our mating, It will effect you. Where as our mating will make me more powerful. Your powers will subside, You will become weak and eventually you will die which i don't want, never would" Rey whispered looking straight into her eyes. His eyes were telling it was truth, whatever he was saying was truth.
"Curse? What curse Rey?" Taani was in utter shock, rey sighed and sat beside her to calm her.
"Few years back there was rogue attack. Our pack had killed all the rouges but with that we had to kill a witch helping the rogues but that witch's soul mate survived and gave me curse that I will be the reason of my mate's destruction, after mating her fully she would die slowly and painfully, leaving me alone in this world just like her soulmate did" Rey explained it to her, her heart felt light knowing he wasn't accepting her because he wanted to protect her. He don't want to be the reason of her pain.
"You didn't accept me because of curse? If yes then why you bullied my and let others do too?" Taani questioned him, feeling slightly angry remembering all the years of bullying she had faced.
"Just to keep you away from me, I wanted you to hate me. And about others, I didn't wanted them to know how kind heart and beautiful you are. They you would try to use your innocence which i can't let happen" He answered, as selfish as he would sound he didn't care. He was protecting something that is his. He and his wolf agreed on this.
"Our mate was protecting us" Tanisha, her wolf purr in her head, taani rolled her eyes at her horny wolf who was howling in back of her head, the fact her mate doesn't hate her had her gone insane in happiness.
"And thats why i just marked you not fully mated, it would help us both to keep our wolves sane" Rey's voice brought her back into reallity. She frowned at him.
"But it will not work for long." Taani said to him.
"But there is nothing we could do" Rey replied frustrated with himself that he can't do anything.
"Offcourse we can. I know a witch and she can help us with your curse" Taani said excitedly, getting up from her place she dragged him out of his alpha cabin. Rey was letting her take him where she wanted to. Pack members stare at them as their luna taani dragged their alpha out of the pack house.
"Where we are going taani?" Rey asked her, Taani stooped near the woods and turned toward him.
"I have a witch friend, Anna. I met her when i come to run. i'm sure she will help us with your curse thing" Taani explained then she asked him to shift into his wolf as they would reach their soon. Going behind the tree he strip his clothes, she did the same They both shifted into their gigantic wolf forms, they had their clothes in their mouth and sprinted off in woods. Taani leading him as she knows the way.
Soon they reached a mountain near lake, Taani went behind tree and shifted back into her human form, she quickly wore her clothes back and came out, by that time Rey was in his human form too, dressed up.
"Come" She held his hand, a shiver ran down their spine. Sparks flew and her mark on her neck gave her tingles which happened when mates touch. Taani took him near a old cave.
"Are you sure she is a witch not vampire?" Rey asked her, he could hear his wolf chuckle in back of his head. Taani glared at him, ignoring him she called out for anna.
"Anna" Soon a witch appeared. Anna smiled seeing taani then her gaze shifted over Rey. She could feel power radiating off from him and immediately understood its alpha Reyaansh.
"Alpha Reyaansh. What bring you here?" She asked him politely, nobody wants to deal with a pissed off alpha by disrespecting him.
"Taani would tell you, She said you can help us" Rey answered, motioning taani to speak, she nodded and turn toward anna and she told him everything about the curse and how it would effect her.
"Hmn let see what i can do in this" Anna said as she waved her hands in air and in next moment, legendary magic book was in her hands. Anna flipped through some pages and started reading something. Taani and Rey were staring at her with great concentration.
"It says we can't do anything to break the curse but true love can" Anna said after a moment of thinking. She looked at them with small smile.
"Means?" taani questioned confusingly.
"Your and alpha's love could break this curse. The curse will be broken once you gave birth to alpha's love child." Anna told them.
"But for that we have to fully mate but we can't knowing she would lose her powers slowly" Rey growled even the thought of her getting hurt or in pain hurt him.
"Till she gave birth to your child I can spell a protective shell on her, It will kept her wolf in bay for sometime so she can't shift and you both have to come to me every month as spell will work only for a month then again i have to spell on her" Anna said to them, they nodded in understanding. Anna did the magic she was suppose to do and dust lifted off the ground and surrounded taani, Anna chanted some words then dust disappeared into air. taani was under the shell of her protective spell.
"Thank you anna." Rey said smiling at her. Anna smiled and hugged them before disappear into thin air.
After she left rey turned to taani who was staring at him with shy smile. Sliding his arm around her he pulled her into his arms.
"Now you are truly mine." Rey nuzzled his face in crook of her neck, his wolf was purring in delight having his mate back in his arms. She wrapped her arms around his torso and moaned his name as he kissed her mark.
"Lets go before i fully mate with here in woods and I'm sure you don't want our first time to be in woods" his words left her blushing bright red. Rey placed his lips on her before giving her light kiss taking her breath away.
"Rey promise me, You won't ever push me away from you, whatever reason it will be but never shut me out of your life. I kill me and my wolf" Taani said in pleading tone, breaking his heart realizing to which extent he had hurt her.
"I know my one sorry could not erase those hurtful memories but still I'm sorry for being a jerk, I didn't treated you well and i hate myself for that but from now on I'll make it upto you till my last breath. I'll be best mate, I'll be mate you desire to have" Rey whispered with sincerity. Taani smiled at him, feeling love and accepted.
"I know" She mumbled as she closed the gap between their lips, kissing him slowly and lovingly in her own sweet way.
"You know I have been in love with you since childhood when i didn't even knew we are mates" Rey confessed as they both started walking back to pack house. Her eyes widen at his confession.
"Really?" She asked with child like expression making him chuckle at her.
"Really my doll. You are my possession, You are my love, I didn't wanted to be reason of your pain thats why i kept myself away from you. You are the girl I have fallen in love with. You are my strength as well my weakness. I Love you Taani" Rey confessed making her heart swell with happiness that couldn't be described in words.
"I love you too my Alpha Rey" Taani whispered and he kissed her again. Finally he was with his mate, with new hope of being with her with out hurting her. Their love had found its way and gave them solution to be with each other. The pain they had gone through seems worth now, in each other arms they found solace. Mates are for each other, to be with each other. If they are together then nothing can come in their way and separate them.
