Finally I watched the scene between Nachiket and Super Nani. A lot has already been said about it, but still I wanted to share my thoughts about it since some time ago I had made a post about their relationship https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/itna-karo-na-mujhe-pyaar/4358022/mera-nachiket
Among all the family members, Super Nani is one such woman who not only remembers NeiRa's relationship but truly understands the importance too. She suffers from Alzheimer but she has never ever forgotten that Ragini belongs to Nachiket and vice versa. That is the beauty of her character.
Personally, I loved the scene for the obvious reason named Ronit Roy (he absolutely nailed it) but let's dig deeper into this and see it from the character's POV.
Nachiket Khanna aka Dr. Neil Khanna is a successful cardiologist so professional this man has made it big but on a personal level his life is not all about roses. A divorcee for more than 15 years lives with his 3 kids and sister in the US. Destiny made him come back to India for his daughter's wedding only to encounter with his ex-wife after many long years of separation. Things seemed to go well for some time but even that didn't last for too long. Again, their ways parted and this time even more bitter than before. For the sake of his daughter, Nachiket came back to India apart from his daughter's marital issues he also had to deal with Ragini who has decided to move on...with someone else.
Like Nachiket told Super Nani that he has always shown the world he doesn't care what Ragini does or not but the truth is that it is exactly her which keeps his mind occupied ever since. No matter how much he tries but Ragini will always affect him; whether it is her smile which gives him an inner peace or her tears which make his heart cry out in pain.
I haven't watched the show in few weeks now, only some scenes so I can't say much about Nachiket's behavior and body language when he is around Ragini and Aman. However, his conversation which Super Nani was enough for me to understand that Nachiket is suffering ever since he saw that ring on her finger. And honestly, he has the right to feel sad about it because that is something nobody can take away from him. Yes, we all have our opinions about Nachiket and what kind of father/husband he has been. Even I don't fully support some of his actions and words he has said to Ragini but the tears in his eyes were genuine and straight from his torn apart heart.
Nachiket is not the type of man who cries easily; always trying to cover up his feelings with 'fake'' smiles, work or any other thing that diverts his mind from his pain. But even the walls of the strongest men do shatter; hence Nachiket got his first downfall. Each and every tear come from the indigestible fact of Ragini accepting someone else in her life and this time it has hit him hard...
Some of you might think that Super Nani wasn't the right one to break down in front of, because what can she possible change to the current situation. Perhaps not much (or maybe a lot if her character is used well) but even though if she isn't the one who can bring them together, I still do think that for now Super Nani was the right choice. Like she said, he is a son to her and she has a special place in her heart for him. Sometimes, all a person needs is someone's shoulder to cry on just to vent out the pain which the person has been holding on for a long time. That is exactly what happened yesterday...
