As soon as YRF announced the release date of Salman Khan's Sultan, the entire media has begun to talk about the clash of titans - Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan next EID, We Exclusively reveal the reasons why the two big guns won't clash at the Box Office-
1. Sultan and Raees are undoubtedly two of the biggest releases of 2016 starring two of the biggest superstars of the nation. Both the films on paper have the potential to go past the 200 Crore Mark at the box office, however if they clash on EID next year, irrespective of how good the films are - division of screens and audiences will hamper the box office prospects of both the films.
2. The exhibitors (Theater Owners) will want two of the biggest films of 2016 to release at a different date which will help them earn more. Releasing two films starring two of the biggest superstars will have a adverse effect on the earnings of the exhibitor. Hence it is unlikey that the exhibitors will give their consent towards the clash.
3. Yash Raj Films are distributing Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale abroad and are also producing Shah Rukh Khan's FAN, hence Yash Raj Films would have taken the decision about the release date of Sultan after discussions with Shah Rukh Khan.
4. While Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale is all set to release in December this year, there is a huge possibility of his next film with YRF - FAN releasing in April next year. 3 Shah Rukh Khan Films releasing in a span of 6 Months is not practical as the superstar has barely done that in the last 7 to 8 years.
5. Salman Khan's Sultan goes on floors in November this year and principal shoot of the film will take place in the indoor locations. Salman Khan will be undergoing a lot of training in wrestling and will be shooting for many high octane action sequences which will take a lot of time to be shot. Barring the fact that the shooting of Bajrangi Bhaijaan and KICK started in 7 months prior to release, Sultan requires a lot more hard work and there is a possibility of the team not being able to wrap up the shoot on time giving Raees a solo release.
Interesting Trivia -
Both Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will be seen playing Muslim Characters in the film which justifies their reason to come on EID. While Shah Rukh Khan will be seen playing a character of Gujarati Don with Grey Shades, Salman Khan will be seen playing Wrestler Sultan Ali Khan.
